Milano, Paolo Ruffini's festival in the garden of the Ramada Plaza

The garden of the Ramada Plaza Milano, 4 star hotel Milano, becomes an open-air theater with the Ramada Summer Festival conceived and directed by the Italian actor and director Paolo Ruffini. The festival starts on July 15th and runs until August 19th, offering over a month of programming including theater shows and concerts with exceptional guests who will keep the citizens of Milan (and beyond) company throughout the summer. The large garden with swimming pool of the Milanese hotel will be transformed into an open-air theatre, where you can watch the scheduled shows, enjoying a delicious picnic-style aperitif comfortably seated on the lawn or a tasty dinner in one of the suggestive balconies of the rooms and of the hotel apartments overlooking the greenery transformed for the occasion into real stages. Always in full compliance with the rules on social distancing and hygiene and health safety. The curtain opens on Wednesday 15 July at 20pm with the show entitled “I'm alone, with you” brought to the stage by Paolo Ruffini together with Claudia Campolongo, ready to combine music, words and poetry to pay homage to the great Giorgio Gaber, an extraordinary artist who marked the history of the Italian cultural panorama. Appointment with comedy, however, for the following Wednesday, July 22nd again at 20.00 pm, when the protagonist will be Omar Fantini, Italian comedian from Colorado Cafè with his show entitled "Cyclists, vegans and other plagues!". A pungent and current stand-up comedy style show in which the comedian reviews what he believes to be real "plagues of our times" and which manages to entertain even those who do not agree with his positions he. “The new landscape in which we find ourselves operating presents us with unprecedented reflections on the hotel space, in terms of quality and quantity, flexibility in use and healthiness” explains Cristina Paini, CEO and Founder of LHM, the hotel management company who manages the Ramada Plaza Milano“To be able to navigate this moment of extreme difficulty, it becomes essential for hotels to know how to welcome their guests by interpreting their needs, also with regards to new ways of experiencing sociality. It is therefore necessary to rethink your offer and, consequently, also your spaces with a certain degree of flexibility. The choice to restart by valorising the world of art and entertainment, another sector hit hard by the COVID-19 emergency as well as that of the hotel industry, is not accidental. The world of culture, art and entertainment has been and still is severely penalized, therefore joining forces and working in synergy in the hope of relaunching the immense artistic and cultural heritage - of which entertainment is one of the cornerstones - and the tourism industry of our country". “The Ramada Summer Festival represents a double opportunity: discovering a garden that for me is among the most beautiful of Milano, and introduce a virtuous model for entertainment, respecting the regulations of the post-Covid decrees” says Paolo Ruffini. “The shows, in fact, can be enjoyed from the terraces of the rooms and also in the garden, set up as if it were a natural arena, respecting the distancing and allowing the public to have fun in peace and safety. I think it is a brilliant idea that could constitute a format suitable for replication. The program we have built was inspired precisely by the characteristic of the hotels: just as they represent a crossroads of languages and cultures, so the calendar of events of the Ramada Summer Festival will be a contamination of different genres and styles of entertainment, from music to comedy, to meet all tastes”.
