Milano: April appointments at the Osoppo Theater Valentina Cortese, between Pirandello and civil theatre.
The spring ofOsoppo Theater Valentina Cortese by Milano continues in this month of April with two interesting productions by the Teatro del Cerchio in Parma.
The first on stage Friday 14 and Saturday 15 April at 20.30 pm there will be a tribute to the theater of Luigi Pirandello: three one-act plays “Eviction”, “The Man with the Flower in his Mouth”, “The Vice” revisited by the direction of Antonio Zanoletti – former artistic director of the Osoppo Theater as well as a fine connoisseur of Pirandello's dramaturgy – and performed by Mario Aroldi, Gabriella Carrozza, Mario Mascitelli who will bring the show to life “Pirandello 1,2,3”; a theatrical work centered on the Pirandellian dilemma par excellence, that between Being and Appearing, but also on the themes of incommunicability, the solitude of the individual and the pain of living.
Instead, it will be the Partisan resistance the dramaturgical fulcrum of the show which Mario Mascitelli, author, director and leading actor, will bring to the stage of the Osoppo Theater over the weekend of 21 22 and April at 20.30 pm, on the eve of the celebrations for the anniversary of the Liberation. "R-esistenza", this is the title, tells, starting from historical sources and official documents, the heroic actions of men and women who fought "a war in the bush" without wearing any uniform, often giving their lives for a just cause , animated by the desire to defend their land and their families and contributing decisively to the liberation of our country. The show is produced in collaboration with ANPI (National Association of Partisans of Italy) and with the Historical Institute of the Resistance and the Contemporary Age.
