Messina to host the Beach Soccer Serie A Italian Cup final

Presented yesterday morning at Palazzo Zanca the Italian Serie A Beach Soccer Cup final which will take place from 27 to 30 June in the Arena Beach Stadium on the beach of Capo Peloro in Punta Faro. The meeting with journalists was attended by the mayor of Messina Federico Basile, the municipal councilor for Sport and Major Events Massimo Finocchiaro, the president of the Italian Football Federation, National Amateur League of the Regional Committee of Sicily Sandro Morgana, the member of the Beach Soccer Department Fabio Nicosia, the member of the National Consultation for the Sicily Region Giuseppe Bosco.

The event, sponsored by the Municipality of Messina, is promoted by the National Amateur League Beach Soccer Department.

From the 27 to the 30 June fourteen teams will compete for the final victory coming from many Italian regions such as the very strong Viareggio, Naples Pisa, Catania and then Vasto, Lamezia Terme, Bologna, Udine, Rome, Chiavari, Genoa, Milano, San Benedetto del Tronto.

"The venue of the final will be the magnificent Arena Beach Stadium located on the beach of Capo Peloro, an authentic showcase on the Strait of Messina which extends over a surface area of ​​approximately 5000 mXNUMX and which will allow, with its 1200 seats, to welcome the many beach soccer enthusiasts which will arrive from all over Sicily and from many regions of Italy.

The matches will be played with the direct elimination formula from the round of 16 to the finals, whoever wins continues their run in the main draw; the others will go among the losers for the placings. The trophy worth the tricolor cockade is up for grabs. Last season it was the Catania Beach Soccer triumphed by winning the Italian Cup by beating Pisa in the final act in Vasto.

The matches will be broadcast live on the dedicated DAZN channel which will ensure the city of Messina a great national showcase.

From 20 to 26 June, always in the Arena Beach Stadium, from 10am to 22pm, youth tournaments reserved for schools, exhibitions and beach soccer competitions will take place.

The Street Food & Beverage Area of ​​Etnazar will present a selection of best Sicilian operators who in the Capo Peloro scenario will propose the most appreciated traditional products such as: the Palermo panelle, the disgraziata cunzato bread, the angus meatballs, the fried pizza, the swordfish chops, the fried pizza, the fish cuoppo, the frozen cannoli, the Minchia beer and much more.

The tensile structure of the "Beach soccer Lab" will be dedicated to children, teenagers and families from 18pm to 20pm, with workshops on science, sport, art and healthy lifestyles. Among the topics covered is bringing the little ones closer to the environment, to the sea, to art, to healthy eating, to sport, to the donation of blood and organs, the valorization of typical local products, the gender gap.

From 20pm to 21pm, the protagonists of the “Beach Soccer Lab”, will be guests of the Radio Zenith lounge, the official radio station of the event.

From the 26 to the 30 June, from 19pm to 20pm, 5 cooking shows will be held, with the Provincial Association of Chefs and Pastry Chefs of Messina which they will create their specialties to the rhythm of music and conducted by Teresa Impollonia and Sabrina Assenzio, the latter creator of the projects “Beach Soccer Lab” and “Show cooking” president Terziario Donna Confcommercio Messina in collaboration with the LEM Group.

Over 450 athletes expected in Messina in June for the final of the Coppa Italia Serie A Beach Soccer that are selling out in many of the city's accommodation facilities and for which the tournament represents an opportunity to discover the city of Messina and its territory. The heads of the Italian Beach Soccer Federation are also expected.

Beach Soccer, or football on the sand, was born in the 90s, in Italy in the last 15 years it has had a great development both from a sporting and technical point of view thanks to the value of the teams and athletes who compete in the most important Italian and international tournaments, but above all it attracted millions of enthusiasts and fans to the arenas that host the exciting matches.
