Messina, success for the second edition of YoungMe Days: over 2000 young people involved.
It ended the second edition of YoungMe Days, the event organized by the Department of Youth Policies, Training and Public Education of the Municipality of Messina as part of the “YoungMe” project, financed by PON METRO PLUS 2021-2027.
For three days, the Palacultura Antonello was the scene of intense activity dedicated to over 1.500 participants, allowing them to have opportunities for growth, inspiration and guidance. The initiative, designed to offer moments of discussion and useful tools to face the challenges of post-diploma and contribute to increasing personal and professional skills, has been able to combine moments of collective reflection with practical and dynamic activities.
Every day has opened with a plenary enriched by the participation of content creators of national and international caliber, giving participants the opportunity to interact with some of the most influential figures in the digital landscape. Among these, Lorenzo Branchetti, Fabiana Manager, Andrea Pistorio, Lelio Bonaccorso, Andrea Muzii, Samuela Sciacca, Sergio Pitrone, Francesco Oggiano, Davide Avolio, Fabrizio Villari Moroni, Maestro Gabriele and Ale Della Giusta, who shared their experiences, skills and visions, stimulating the young participants to reflect on their future and to put into practice the knowledge acquired. The meeting with the content creators represented a unique opportunity to make the city of Messina known with its beauties and traditions at a national and international level.
The three-day program was then divided into approximately 25 thematic workshops, for a total of 72 laboratories focused on different areas: from digital to theatre, from communication and graphics to event organisation, European planning and virtual tours, aimed at enabling young people to acquire practical skills in key sectors for their professional future, strengthening the support and collaboration network between young people, professionals, entrepreneurs and institutions.
Taking stock of the initiative Councilor Cannata highlights that: “YoungMe Days represents a fundamental stage that must be interpreted as a strategic investment for the future of the city in which our young people are the protagonists. This series of meetings dedicated to them - keep it going Councilor Cannata - is aimed at making known on one hand, the opportunities that the world of work offers and the tools needed to develop their skills to become active protagonists of change, but the other aspect aimed at motivating our young people to reclaim their territory is fundamental, so that their professional development can make a substantial contribution and walk hand in hand with the development of the city of Messina. To this end, the Department of Youth Policies will continue to work to ensure continuity to this project, developing further tools and resources to make young people protagonists of change and the future of the city“, he concluded Councilor Cannata.
