Messina: “La Strada” at the Teatro dei 3 Mestieri on Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th February.
Il Theater of the 3 Professions it will be the venue for two unmissable entertainment events "The street" (Production Teatro dei Limoni), by Leonardo Losavio and the direction Roberto Galano, which will see them both protagonists on stage. The two appointments are scheduled for Saturday 25 at 21.00 and Sunday February 26 at 18.30.
“La Strada” is the story of a surreal journey in blablacar of two men, two worlds, two opposite roads that meet, each headed towards their own goal, unaware of the sudden turning point that they will encounter along the way.
Symbolically the road is the inner journey/path that each of us faces in our lives: growing up, resolving conflicts, confronting and overcoming the fears that have always gripped the human soul. Man's only redemption to escape these fears, which make him helpless, immobile, waiting for something to happen, is then to leave, move, take risks.
But what happens when the man next to you, your traveling companion, is not who he says he is?
The play "La Strada" uses a grotesque and surreal dramaturgy, as well as a feverish acting game that alternates between the first person who dialogues with the audience and an "absolute" dialogue. This style of storytelling, which shifts the audience's attention from inside to outside, does not provide precise reference points but instead drags and forces viewers to become the third passenger on an emotional journey.
