Lo show, of and with Marco Goldin, music by Franco Battiatoe video animations by Alessandro Trettenero, is part of the project connected to the novel “The Last Days of Van Gogh. The Rediscovered Diary”, written by Goldin in the particular form of imaginary diary, published by Solferino and now in its fourth printing. From it I am derivatives lo show theatrical, of which Goldin also directs, and some Espaitec's and we are already working on one third part of tour in autumn, with several stops from Rome to southern Italy but also some filming in northern Italy.
La theatrical representation is freely inspired by romance which recounts the last weeks of the great painter's life. In the book which is the basis of the whole project, Goldin imagines that Van Gogh held a diario precisely in those days and for this reason he makes him speak with his voice, always relying on the facts that actually happened and on the letters, therefore seeking the dimension of likely.
Goldin takes the stage to tell, with his usual passionate and engaging storytelling, the last weeks of Vincent Van Gogh's life.
A create even more the atmosphere spiritual, yet full of the flesh and dreams of Van Gogh's life, contribute, exceptionally granted for this occasion, the music di Franco Battiato. All together, and in the use made of it, this music constitutes a fundamental part, an even more poetic link for the entire show.
