Mantua: III edition of “Sbrisolona&Co” from 18th to 20th October

The third edition of Sbrisolona&Co was presented, scheduled 18 from October to 20, among the streets of the historic center of Mantua;

This event is not only a tribute to our typical sweets, but a celebration of Mantua's excellence, of our history and of the traditions that make us unique. I invite everyone to experience these three magical days, where taste and culture meet to make Mantua the Italian capital of pastry making”.

"Sbrisolona&Co allows you to explore the history of Mantua pastry making through activities, shows and workshops, as well as offering tastings of typical local sweets – he states Charles Zanetti, Extraordinary Commissioner of the Chamber of Commerce of Mantua – The Chamber of Commerce, contributing to the synergies implemented, has actively supported the event and the Mantua companies participating in the event since its first edition, in line with the philosophy and mission of the institution which, among its institutional tasks, has that of promoting and enhancing the local economy and the excellence of the territory, in all its forms".

“The countdown has started for Sbrisolona & Co, a festival that will involve, as much as in previous years, the city and its commercial network: shops, public establishments, accommodation facilities will be at the forefront in organizing a series of events and moments of great impact and appeal that will involve visitors. – says Angelica Isabella Sargenti, Confcommercio Mantova – We are proud to promote this three-day event scheduled for 18 to 20 October, precious moment of valorization and recall for our city, a UNESCO heritage site".

“The Sbrisolona festival is back after the great successes of the past years, both in terms of audience and sales due to the excellent quality and the numerous companies present at the event – ​​explains Stephen Pelliciardi, Administrator SGP Grandi Eventi, organizer – a festival designed to celebrate the sbrisolona but also the confectionery district of Mantua which boasts various traditional sweets.

The heart of the event will be 40 confectionery producers, from Mantua sweets to Lombardy ones, to productions famous throughout Italy but also a focus on artisanal chocolate. This year too there will be a rich program of events, tastings and showcooking: among all a great event with Edoardo Raspelli accompanied by Antonio Santini Dal Pescatore di Canneto, together with other great chefs who have made the history of Mantuan and national cuisine such as Rigoletto, Aquila Nigra, Il Bersagliere di Goito, Il Cigno and l'Ambasciata di Quistello in an event that will talk about anecdotes, curiosities and secrets of Mantuan cuisine.

But also the Virgilio di Zucchero Award that will go to Gianni Margini, owner of Pasticceria Atena or the Gemma dei Gonzaga Award that will be given to the Mantuan musician Gianni Dall'Aglio, drummer and percussionist of great Italian artists such as Adriano Celentano, Lucio Battisti, Mina and Patty Pravo. There will be no shortage of POP events to be admired and tasted like the maxi sbrisolona made by Bottoli of 16mXNUMX on which the master chocolatier Mirko della Vecchia will create the coat of arms of the city of Gonzaga without forgetting the tradition with the historical reenactment of the marriage between Isabella d'Este and Francesco II Gonzaga. A rich, varied and full-bodied program for an event that also this year aims to be one of the most delicious in Italy".

The event is promoted by Confcommercio Mantova, realized with the contribution of Regione Lombardia, with the patronage of the Municipality of Mantua and the Chamber of Commerce of Mantua, and organized by SGP Grandi Eventi. It boasts the Bonomi Mazzolari Institute of Mantua as a technical partner. Thanks to the company Bottoli – Clecla for the support and the realization of the maxi-sbrisolona.

Sweetness, taste, history and tradition meet in the historic center of Mantua from October 18 to 20, three days of meetings, show cooking, awards, guided tastings and much more, a free event not to be missed.
