"The Stramacerata continues to achieve important goals and, in this 38th edition, the running event will have a new route that further highlights the cultural, architectural and landscape beauties of the city while also representing a vehicle for tourism promotion - he said mayor Sandro Parcaroli -. An event that combines the healthy values of sport with solidarity, associationism and the aggregative spirit of the people of Macerata, generating and consolidating new and old friendships. A special thank you to all the organizers for the passion and determination they put into the creation of the Stramacerata".
"Let's keep alive the tradition of a sporting and social event that has always been synonymous with participation, aggregation and inclusion - said the councilor Sport Riccardo Sacchi -. In its renewed guise, the 38th edition of Stramacerata promises to be an event that will, once again, color the entire city thanks to runners, children, families, Nordic Walking walkers and also the return of four-legged friends , which will animate it. Macerata, thanks to the work of those involved in its organisation, is ready to experience another great day of sport".
This edition of the Stramacerata, which will have the its center at the Diaz Gardens where all the scheduled events will depart and arrive, appears particularly renewed compared to the recent past thanks to the commitment of the Polisportiva led by Ulisse Gentilozzi. The route is new of the most significant event, new communication which is accompanying the promotion of the event e the collaborations are also new who worked alongside each other to allow the success of the initiative.
"Since its foundation, the Polisportiva has pursued social goals of aggregation and brotherhood through sport, thus promoting both physical and spiritual well-being – he said Ulysses Gentilozzi president of the ACLI Macerata Sports Association –. You have never looked for and celebrated the champion, but you have welcomed and registered those who are competitively ready and prepared as well as those who wish to walk in company. You have always won aggregation rather than competition. The organization of Stramacerata, which has seen various routes in different neighborhoods and streets of Macerata, has always favored active sport, not as a spectator, but that which cements and promotes friendships and aggregation and not that which divides and marginalises".
"The University of Macerata and the Rector - Romolo Donzelli, John McCourt's representative for sports activities and the CUS, spoke- he believes a lot in sport as a factor of inclusion, equality and well-being. Furthermore, Stramacerata greatly enhances the concept of community that the University cultivated in the last Humanitas Festival. This is a wonderful event and we hope there will be wide participation".
"An opportunity for runners to occupy the streets, alleys and squares of our city – said Fabio Romagnoli, CONI provincial delegate -. An opportunity for everyone to experience Macerata, walking and rediscovering hidden corners that we had forgotten. An opportunity to introduce Macerata to those coming from outside the city".
"I am honored to represent the Panathlon Club Macerata on this splendid occasion – It intervened Barbara Morresi, Past President of the Panathlon Club -. The Stramacerata is much more than a simple running competition; it is an event that embodies the values of sport that we at Panathlon firmly support: health, well-being and solidarity. This event represents an extraordinary opportunity to strengthen bonds within our community, while promoting sportsmanship and mutual respect among participants".
Among the races on the calendar, the most important event, the 10,1km competitive running race valid for the Gran Prix Fidal Marche, will start at 9,30 am from the Giardini Diaz and will take place along an almost entirely flat circuit which includes the avenues that run along the city walls until reaching Piazza della Vittoria along Corso Cavour in both directions. A very fast and linear route that will be particularly appreciated by both the most trained runners and amateurs who can sign up for the non-competitive race.
Ma other events starting from 9am will have already animated this edition of the Stramacerata. The walk is approximately 4km it will share part of the route of the foot race and then reach the historic center passing through Piazza della Libertà, via Crescimbeni and via Garibaldi and reach the Diaz Gardens again.
Same route and same time for the welcome return of the Stracanina which will feature man's trusted friends and, again at 9 am, the Nordic Walking group will also start for an 8 km walk.
Immediately after, and before the 10 km, the absolutely new event will take place Junior race dedicated to children and young people in primary and lower secondary schools which will use the new circuit built around the Diaz Gardens.
The realization of the event was made possible thanks to technical support from Coni and Fidal to which the organizational contribution was added of the Pindaro Sport&Events Cultural Association and patronage of the University of Macerata – the latter has worked hard to promote the initiative internally – who appreciated and embraced the aims of Stramacerata.
