Lucca: presentation of the first volume of the Arma's graphic novel entitled "Before it's late"

The cover of the comic book “Before It’s Too Late”, published by the Carabinieri Publishing House and created by the authors of the Roman School of Comics, almost looks like the trailer for an action movie.

Lucca: presentation of the first volume of the Arma's graphic novel entitled "Before It's Too Late"

Sunday 3 November at 11:30 am in the room Tobino of the Ducal Palace, in the framework of the Lucca Comics & Games event, the graphic novel of the Arma arrives, born from the art of the pencils of the Roman School of Comics and the investigative techniques of the Carabinieri, together with great guests such as Stephen Gabrielli, Pieroni idea of the Carabinieri Sports Group and Kurolily.

A golden flame in relief, men and women in uniform and the black and white portrait of a young girl. The cover of the comic book “Before It's Too Late”, published by the Carabinieri Publishing House and created by the authors of the Roman School of Comics.

The volume, which contains the power of images and the strength of words, is the new editorial project with which the Carabinieri Corps lands in the world of comics. A volume dedicated to children that aims to make the younger generations better and more closely acquainted the entirety of the Carabinieri's activities under a new guise, using a dynamic language, able to speak to everyone.

History, set in Rome, sees the Major Marshal involved, Massimo DeRosa (said Ombre) and his team, belonging to the Special Operations Group (ROS), in a race against time to find a teenager who mysteriously disappeared into thin air. The gripping plot will lead the Carabinieri to clash with criminals willing to do anything. The action will move to different areas of the Peninsula where organized crime operates: from the slums of the city to the villas in the countryside. Various departments of the Carabinieri will be involved in the searches: from the Station to the Radiomobile Unit, from the Ros to the Racis, from the Environmental Protection to that of Cultural Heritage, from the canine units to the helicopter unit, up to the Gis.

“It is an adventure comic with noir hues that is based on plausible facts that could really have happened” – he says Luca Raffaelli – writer and expert in comics and animation who edited the introduction of the volume.

The reader will thus have the opportunity to immerse himself in the world of the force, momentarily identifying with one of our "everyday heroes" and following the gripping investigation with bated breath.
