Lecco: “This is Europe” in Torre Viscontea from October 12th

The 27th edition of the festival Imaginary World leads to Lecco two photographic exhibitions, “This is Europe"and "Snow Land“. The initiatives are promoted by Les Cultures Odv in collaboration with the Municipality of Lecco – Lecco Urban Museum System.

The exhibition "This is Europe” will be inaugurated Friday 11 October at 18 pm at Palace of Fears and will be open to visitors in Visconti Tower until November 3The exhibition presents a selection of approximately forty photographs that tell the story of Europe today and tomorrow, exploring challenges, difficulties, hopes and expectations. The images are part of a project created in collaboration between the Corriere della Sera and the Prospekt agency, with the aim of offering a comprehensive picture of the lives of the inhabitants of the European continent, connecting their stories and aspirations. The exhibition will be open to the public Thursday from 10 to 13, Friday and Saturday from 14 to 18 e Sunday from the 10 18.

Thus the Councillor for Culture Simone Piazza: “The Immagimondo festival, promoted by Les Cultures, in collaboration with the Municipality, returns to Lecco, supporting two important exhibitions. The first, as usual, will be set up in the streets and squares of the city, in particular in Piazza XX Settembre. The second, instead, will find space in Torre Viscontea. The goal, as always, is to offer the city experiences, debates, discussion tables and moments of sharing, once again focused on the theme of travel in all its facets”.

The 27th edition of Immagimondo will also host a second photographic exhibition, entitled “Snow Land“, which will be inaugurated Friday October 4 18 in the conference room of the Palace of Fears and will remain set up in Piazza XX Settembre until the 20 October. The exhibition is the photographer's work Marco Zorzanello, which explores climate change through its impact on tourism, especially winter mountain tourism. The exhibition highlights how rising temperatures are changing seasonality and snowfall. The inauguration will be a moment of reflection on the future of the Alps, with the presentation of the volume The Passenger – Alpi (ed. Iperborea) in the presence of the project editor, Mark Agosta, and of the sociologist Maurizio Dematteis.
