Lecce, World Cancer Day, screening of the film "Simply, on the moon"
On the occasion of World Cancer Day, promoted by UICC – Union for International Cancer Control – and supported by the WHO, the short film “Simply, on the moon” will be screened in the Open Space room of Palazzo Carafa, written and directed by director Annaelena Rispoli and based on the novel “I will write everything tomorrow” by Giulia Romano.
The appointment is for Saturday 3 February at 18pm in the Open Space room of Palazzo Carafa, in Piazza Sant'Oronzo. The initiative is sponsored by the Municipality of Lecce and the Italian League for the Fight against Cancer of Lecce.
The film puts real life on stage story of Giulia Romano, a twenty-year-old from Lecce who passed away due to a neoplasm just five months after diagnosis. The feelings that Giulia expressed in her writing find space in the cinematic story: the carefreeness that accompanies young age, the beauty of life and its transience in the face of the outbreak of an illness capable of changing everything in an instant.
They will be present at the initiative the mayor Carlo Salvemini and the councilor for culture Fabiana Cicirillo, together with the director Annaelena Rispoli and the oncologist Giuseppe Serravezza, founder of Lilt Lecce.
Speeches are expected from Daniela Nuzzo, Giulia's mother, Denise Cimino, protagonist of the film and Nik Manzi, actor and casting director. Readings by the actress Agnese Perrone. Claudia Ingrosso moderates the evening.
