LECCE FANTAFEST: the festival dedicated to the world of Science Fiction, Fantasy and Space.
For the first time in Lecce, an exhibition entirely dedicated to the world of Science Fiction, Fantasy and Space.
Presenting the first edition of LECCE FANTASY, in the presence of the municipal councilor Paolo Foresio, the vice president of Rambaldi Promotions, Giuseppe Lombardi, with the artistic director Alessandro Stajano and the exceptional godmother of the event, Daniela Rambaldi. Professors will be present Stefano Cristante, Antonio Ficarella e Louis Musco of the University of Salento and the lawyer Mauro Panzera of the National UFO Center.
The three days, focused on the figure and the works by Carlo Rambaldi, world master of special effects, will be divided between film screenings, photography, painting and sculpture exhibitions and will see numerous and important guests from the world of culture, scientific, ufological research and art discuss the themes dear to the genre which more than any other it inspired the cinematography and literature of the last century.
Central moment of the event, which by 25 27 to September will be hosted in the splendid setting offormer Convent of the Theatines, will be the photographic exhibition on Carlo Rambaldi, winner of three Oscar Awards in Hollywood for films King Kong, Alien and ET
The precious and iconic original statuettes will be exhibited for the first time, thanks to a special permission from the Carlo Rambaldi Foundation, on the occasion of the national tour for the 40 anniversary of the creation of ET, which will see its ideal conclusion in the city of Lecce.
Furthermore, Rambaldi's most famous mechatronic creature will have a dedicated corner, where children, and not only them, will also be able to take a selfie with the most famous alien in the world.
The daily screening of three of Carlo Rambaldi's most famous films will be followed, every evening, by a moment of discussion on topics related to science fiction, to UFO research and investigation, with eminent scholars of theUniversity of Salento, researchers of National UFO Centre and forays onto the stage by the authors nominated for the Lecce Fantafest Award. In the context of the event, in fact, a jury composed of high-profile professionals will evaluate the published and unpublished writing works, performances and audiovisual and multimedia contents nominated for the first edition of the "PRIZE LECCE FANTASY", whose proclamation will take place on the final evening of Wednesday 27 September by the exceptional godmother, Daniela Rambaldi. The prizes, awarded to the winners, were created by the Calabrian master Antonio La Gamba, with the metalxylography technique and reflect the festival logo, created by Alessandro Stajano.
