The traditional is backmonstrous night"The Castello San Giorgio on October 31st from 21pm to 23pm, whose rich program of events to celebrate the most monstrous La Spezia night of the year it was presented yesterday at a press conference by the Mayor Pierluigi Peracchini, by the manager of Cultural Services Rosanna Ghirri and the project manager Donatella Alessi.
“An event that is always eagerly awaited and attended – declares Mayor Pierluigi Peracchini – which returns in its traditional guise in the evening hours. One night dedicated to the little ones, but also to parents, who will be able to experience the Castle wrapped in magical and mysterious atmospheres and try their hand at fun workshops. I thank the Cultural Services for the creativity with which they carry out initiatives capable of involving and bringing an ever-wider and heterogeneous public closer to our Museums.”

The eleventh edition of the Monstrous Night at Castello San Giorgio presents a series of renewed proposals for children and shows for the whole family. This is an evening of activities and workshops and games inspired by the theme of mystery and the occult in the ancient world. On this occasion the museum will "dress up" and participants are also advised to dress according to the theme of fear.
This year, participants will be able to choose from even more workshops with activities aimed at also to parents, thanks to the availability of covered spaces which will allow the large terraces of the Castle to be exploited and also thanks to the collaboration of the Giovanni Podenzana Civic Ethnographic Museum which created a stipe broom, a typical peasant object.
The operators will guide the children in creative workshops which will see them create griffins, mandrakes, gargoyles, masks of the animals depicted in the Museum, apotropaic jewels from the Bronze Age or collect fantastic beings, create magic potions, Egyptian amulets, challenge Cyclops in his cave and finally dig an ancient tomb.
Adults will also be involved with the monstrous makeup by Tiziana La Monica, professional fantasy makeup artist, and be transformed into beings of the night. You can also watch the live performance of body and face painting by Matteo Arfanotti, world body and face-painting champion. You can try your hand at archery and then go up to the highest terrace to get involved with the Kilibre Art of Events company which will offer an engaging performance of acrobatic dances with fire, stilts and pole dancing.

To facilitate access for participants, entrance tickets to the museum can be purchased in advance at the Castle Museum. The cost of entry is €4, groups of up to 4 people pay €12 and then €2 for each additional person. While places last.
Please note that the lifts connecting via del Prione to the Castle Museum will be usable until 24 hours. Furthermore, a service will be active free shuttle from 19pm to midnight departing from Piazza Europa towards the monstrous night of Castello San Giorgio every 20 minutes and back.

1) BETWEEN THE CLAWS OF THE GRIFFIN

6) CUNIMONDO THE ROUND SKULL
