In Breno (BS) medieval re-enactment “Camunerie – The Castle that lives again”.
Inaugurated by the Lombardy regional councilor for tourism Barbara Mazzali the 2023 edition of “Camunerie – The Castle that lives again”, the traditional historical re-enactment that allows you to immerse yourself in the medieval era, thanks to the unique setting of the Breno Castle and the performances of artists, men-at-arms, archers and falconers.
After the inaugural ceremony, the event was officially opened by the parade through the streets of the town and also welcomed the “Palio of the 8 Houses” in which the population of Breno, divided into noble families, competes in challenges and games to bring home the victory and, consequently, the Palio.
«Events like this – comments the councilor Mazzali - on the one hand they consolidate and strengthen the passion for the traditions and cultures of the places in which they take place and, on the other, they allow an increasingly large number of tourists, even local ones, to know and appreciate the territories and their history and the cultures that have come down to us".
«Even in summer - goes on - Lombardy is confirmed as a territory rich in places, landscape, events capable of capturing the attention of tourists who love to discover places not far from traditional cities of art but no less interesting and full of charm".
"Here because - he concludes - it is worth deviating from traditional paths and, also thanks to consulting the portal in-lombardia.it keep up to date on spectacular events with the opportunity to know when, where and how they take place. This also contributes to defining what I call the "Lombard style" of tourism".
