Iglesias: the XXVI International Chamber Music Festival kicks off at the Electra Theatre

From November 17th to December 28th six concerts in Iglesias with international artists. We start with "Winter Journey" by Schubert, performed by the baritone Grünwoldt and the pianist Rucli.

Iglesias: the XXVI International Chamber Music Festival kicks off at the Electra Theatre.

The curtain rises on the International Chamber Music Festival, now in its 17th edition, and protagonist at the Electra theatre in Iglesias from 28 November to XNUMX December.

The chamber music festival, organized by the Anton Stadler association with the artistic direction of the bandoneonist and composer Fabio Furìa, offers six Sunday concerts dedicated to great music performed by prestigious international ensembles that will take us on a journey through the most beloved works of classical music and the 900th century.

The first appointment is for November 17th at 19pm.with the concert “Winter Journey” entrusted to the baritone Lars Grünwoldt and the pianist Andrea Rucli. This is an absolute masterpiece among the great romantic lieder cycles of Schubert, which presents an original and captivating program. This cycle tells the heart, the soul, the feelings and the emotions of the protagonist, a solitary wanderer who faces the winter in all its aspects, to escape the memory of an impossible love.

SHORT BIOGRAPHY

Lars Grünwoldt, baritone, was born in 1974 in Germany. He began his studies at the “Hochschule” in Rostock and later at the renowned “Hans Eisler” Higher Education School in Berlin under the guidance of S. Weir.

He attends the masterclasses of D. Fischer-Dieskau and T. Quasthoff. He wins numerous competitions and scholarships (Mozarteum Salzburg and Y. Menuhin Foundation). Alongside J. Kowalski he sings at the Berlin Opera. He collaborates with the most famous symphony orchestras including: Berliner Philharmoniker, Konzerhausorchester Berlin, Prague Philharmonic Freiburger Barockorchester.

He performs regularly in the most prestigious European halls. Through the Berlin Radio Choir and the Opera “Sotto i Tigli” precious collaborations with D. Baremboim, M. Janowski and Sir S. Rattle are born. He regularly performs in the Philharmonic Hall and the Konzerthaus in Berlin.

Andrea Rucli, pianist, has been playing for more than thirty years both as a soloist and in various chamber groups, collaborating with leading figures in the international concert scene. He has participated in prestigious chamber music festivals, including those of Kuhmo in Finland (where he will be a guest in 2022 for the 17th time), Portogruaro (for 10 editions), Teatro Olimpico Vicenza, Sound Jerusalem in Israel, Festival Pontino, Cantiere di Montepulciano, Società della Musica da Camera at the Hermitage Theatre in St. Petersburg, Festival A Tempo in Podgorica, Osnabrücker Musikfestival “Classico con brio” and Stiftfestival in Holland.

She recently made her debut as a soloist with orchestra in the Brahms Hall at the Musikverein in Vienna. Among her various recorded CDs, the two with the works for piano and chamber music – recorded as world premieres – by the Russian composer Ella Adaiewsky stand out, the result of a five-year work of rediscovery promoted by the Sergio Gaggia Association, which has also been covered several times by the magazines Amadeus, Musica and Radio 3 Suite. Recent and reviewed with 5 stars by several specialized magazines, the recording of transcriptions by Beethoven himself of his masterpieces (op. 16 and op. 38) published by Da Vinci Records.

In January 2010 and February 2013 he performed for the “Quirinale Concerts” live on the radio on RAI channel III and on the Euro Radio circuit, presenting respectively “La Pantomima Rinata”, a 2006 Gaggia production, a musical reconstruction by Vladimir Mendelssohn of the Pantomime k446 by WAMozart, with a commedia dell'arte specially written by Quirino Principe and a program designed for the day of remembrance. He teaches piano at the Tomadini Conservatory in Udine.

All six Sunday concerts will start at 19pm.

The cost of single tickets is 12,00 euros (stalls) and 7,00 euros (loggia), reduced for children: 7 euros.

The cost of the ticket for the concert on December 22nd is 16 euros (stalls) and 10 euros (loggia), reduced for children: 10 euros.
