Hangar Palooza Festival: not just music at the Peace Park.
The first major event in Peace Park, theHangar Palooza Festival, the Festival of festivals, 13 from October to 15 offers a rich program of initiatives for all ages.
In fact, conferences, debates, workshops, film forums, a craft and organic market, shows, entertainment for children, guided tours, writers, in addition to the already announced DJ sets and live music by Derozer, Casino Royale and Populous and many others.
Most of the activities will be a free participation, for some, booking on the site will be required www.hangarpalooza.it, active in the next few days. A food truck area will also be available.
Hangar Palooza is promoted by Coordination of the Vicenza Festival (Jamrock, Lumen, Riviera Folk, Ferrock, From Disco To Disco, Spiorock) with the support of City of Vicenza.
The festival will officially open Friday 13 October at 18 pm, while the morning will be dedicated to schools.
«Hangar Palooza will be a real festival, with activities suitable for an absolutely heterogeneous audience scheduled at almost all hours of the day – comments the councilor for youth policies Leonardo Nicolai -. It is an important novelty for Vicenza, which can increasingly be called “The city of festivals”».
Children can have fun with the entertainment provided by La Ludo Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th from 10am to 12pm and then Saturday at 17pm with Archboys and the busker show "I'll tell you, stories with objects come to life" with Giulia Rossi and "The 4 elements”. Two more busker shows are scheduled for Sunday at 18pm with the comic magic and kamishibai (an ancient Japanese method of telling stories) of Mr. Coso and the marionettes and puppets of El Bechin.
Conferences, debates, workshops are scheduled for all three days. Saturday at 9.30pm you will be able to participate in the MB Rosenberg introductory laboratory to non-violent communication led by Angela Attianese, CNV trainer and facilitator certified by CNVC (on reservation). The meeting is at 10 “Journey into the universe of family systems” organized by the Social Ideas Laboratory of the House of Popular Culture. At 12, upon reservation, screening of the documentary “Junk” by Cooperativa Insieme while at 14 pm conference entitled “The concept of different, free, special time, right for every child” with Zennaro Donatella by Faiberica SCS
Sunday at 9.30 Legambiente proposes a conference dedicated to air pollution, while at 11.30 as part of the Sulla Soglia Project, the social cooperatives Tangram and Insieme and the Rete Famiglie Aperte association will hold the talk on restorative justice "Come oro tra le cracks", art kind to repair relationships.
At 14.30pm, upon reservation, the object decoration workshop will be offered with Stella Pocket and the creative embroidery workshop with Eleonora Zerbetto edited by Together Cooperativa Sociale x Fact!
Shri Yoga Vicenza school on Saturday and Sunday at 9am will be available with Yasmine Sinno for a yoga class open to all.
Il Odeon cinema proposes the Cinema club in two time slots, at 18pm on Saturday and Sunday, and at 2am on Friday and Saturday. It can be seen on Saturday at 18pm at the Cine Club “Short Time” in collaboration with Working Title Film Festival - Festival del Cinema del Lavoro, on Sunday it will be the turn of “Doc Time: Jordan Rise Rided” from a project by Non Dalla Guerra, Caritas Jordan, La Mente Comune Ciclofficina, Collettivo Orkestrada Circus.
The two in the morning screenings are by reservation: on Friday, Cine Club transforms into Horror Club with the film “Cannibal Holocaust” by Ruggero Deodato, Saturday for Cult Night coming up “The Warriors – Walter Hill's warriors of the night”.
At the conclusion of the musical program of the premiere and second evening of the Festival, Friday and Saturday at midnight, you can attend "Geo Fire Show” a spectacular juggling show for adults and children.
Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 October, from 9am to 12.30pm and from 14pm to 18pm, visits can be booked at Peace Park, in small groups who will be accompanied by volunteers from the organization and volunteers from associations Lipu and WWF, by the technicians of the environment, energy and territory servicethe Municipality of Vicenza. It will thus be possible to start getting to know the park together with its flora and fauna.
During the three days of Festival the food market will be set up Coldiretti with local producers, from 9am on Saturday and Sunday; Tacate the Mercatin, traveling art, craft and vintage market from 11am on Saturday and Sunday.
While Silene proposes a brunch at 12 on Saturday and Sunday, by reservation. On Sunday there is also a tasting of natural wines.
Free entry until 18pm followed by 1 euro to support organization costs.
Will Parking is available with a small contribution to support organizational costs. However, the intention is to encourage arrival at the park by other means, on foot, by bus (route number 9 is available, timetables at the link https://www.svt.vi.it/sites/default/files/2023-09/invernale-2023-2024-9.pdf) or by bicycle.
One will be available bike-sharing station: they can be used e-bikes and muscle bikes to reach the Peace Park and to move from the park to other areas of the city. RIDEMOVI Spa, the company that manages the service for the Municipality of Vicenza, will offer discounts dedicated to three days of festival.
