One hundred years of the Italian Air Force: "The Blue Night" arrives.

Theatrical performances, live music, games in the square for the little ones, exhibition itineraries and flight simulators: the historic center is thus preparing to welcome “The blue night”.

An evening that will liven up Piazza Dante and which will also see the award ceremony of the centenary art and poetry competition “Flying towards the future” by the Ass. In PASFA of Grosseto.
The celebration, scheduled for Saturday 10 June from 17.30 pm to midnight, is part of the rich program of events designed to celebrate the 24.00 years of the Italian Air Force, retracing the history, observing the present and planning the future of the Force Army.

“The anniversary of last March 28 summarizes a century of operational activity of the Air Force at the service of the country – comments Mayor Antonfrancesco Vivarelli Colonna – A century of constant technological and industrial development, of presence in the world, raising the commitment and Italian ingenuity. For this reason, as an Administration we considered it necessary, as well as appropriate, to celebrate this milestone with a wide range of events, so as not only to thank our men for the work they do every day, but also to bring citizens closer, through demonstrations in the square and open days, at the 4th Fighter Wing".

Saturday will be followed by the event "Centenary Run: flying towards the 4th Wing from the historic center of Grosseto", scheduled for Sunday 17 September and new exhibitions in the city shopping centers in October. The events will conclude with a final open day on November 4th and with the “Corale Puccini” concert on December 10th.
