With this event, born from the collaboration between the Bianciardi Foundation and Giangiacomo Feltrinelli publisher, let's give concreteness and depth to an objective that we have all given ourselves: to keep alive the memory and the works of a mind so close to us; promote its knowledge among the new generations, giving them the opportunity to enter the universe Bianciardi, get to know him and draw as much inspiration and teaching as possible from his genius".
Luciana Bianciardi declares: "I am really happy for the establishment of this literary prize which the Giangiacomo Feltrinelli Publishing House and I, together with Gabriella D'Ina, we wanted to organize a Grosseto, in a symbolic return of Bianciardi in his hometown. I am sure that over the years the Prize will grow in numbers and intentions until it becomes a point of reference for all writers, young and old, who have been inspired in some way by Bianciardi".
"La Luciano Bianciardi Foundation - explain the president Massimiliano Marcucci and the director Lucia Matergi - interprets the Award named after its reference author, and its conclusion a Grosseto, as a brilliant metaphor of the dialectic between the small hometown and the big one Milano, host city of Bianciardi migrant intellectual; a perennial path in the imagination and work of the writer from Grosseto, to whom the Foundation is dedicating an intense year full of cultural moments of high importance, in which the Awards Ceremony fits organically".
