“Giochi Senza Quartiere” 2023 edition: the final at Villa Dante on Sunday 22 October.
Messina. The second edition of “Games Without Neighborhood” (GSQ) 2023 edition, which started last September 30th, was characterized by Saturdays and Sundays of challenges in the six Municipalities until the last days of last Sunday 15 October, protagonists were young people and children who were able to demonstrate their competitiveness together with their skills and respect for each other, in the name of inclusion.
The renewed and structured program of recreational activities aimed at rediscovering the link with the territory to which they belong, they followed one another in the name of entertainment and socialization in line with the objective set by the mayor's administration Federico Basile, in synergy with the six Municipalities, the result of intense work by collaboration and development of a territorial network, in order to implement a model of "educational community" Citywide.
With this intention the second edition of “Games Without Neighborhood” comes to an end with the grand finale to be held Sunday October 22nd, starting at 9.30 am, at Villa Dante, where the team that scored the highest score in the preliminary stages will represent their Municipality.
The disciplines foreseen will always be those that characterized the first phase in the neighborhoods therefore, scalp ball; race squared; sack race; tug of war; darts; basketball – 3-point shots; table football; sitting volleyball; padel; and giant chessboard. These are scheduled for the final also bubble football, tennis and swimming relay tournaments, which you can also book on the same morning of Sunday 22nd.
The Second Municipality, winner of last edition, will carry the trophy which will be given to this year's winner. Should the Municipality itself win three editions, even non-consecutive, he will have the right to permanently keep the trophy.
The event is open to the public to offer to citizens a day of celebration and create an atmosphere of fun and interaction so that everyone can socialize and have fun together.
