The music is by Bruno Bettinelli, Ferruccio Busoni, Francis Poulenc, Bohuslav Martinu, Luciano Berio, Alban Berg, Mario Castelnuovo Tedesco, Johann Sebastian Bach.

The concert, which opens the second part of "The wind rose", the season of the Friends of Music, is in collaboration with the National Diaristic Archive Foundation onlus, and is the second appointment of Ancona Classica, the music season created under the aegis of the Municipality of Ancona, with FORM, the Polytechnic University of the Marche, and precisely, from “Guido Michelli”.

The Friends of Music thank the pianist Giorgia Borgacci for having agreed to take the place of his colleague Riccardo Bartoli, who was forced to withdraw for health reasons.

The beautiful text by Guido Barbieri has as its protagonist the very young Orlando Orlandi Posti. Born in Rome in 1926 and shot on 24 March 1944, Silver Medal in memory, Orlando Orlandi Posti, or Lallo, as his friends called him, joined the Action Party at just seventeen years old and was one of the leaders of the Italian Student Revolutionary Association (ARSI). The 3 February of the 1944, having learned of a raid carried out by the Germans in Monte Sacro, ran to warn and save many of his anti-fascist companions, but was unable to escape arrest himself. Captured by the SS and locked up in Via Tasso, Orlando Orlandi Posti only came out on 24 March, to be shot at the Fosse Ardeatine at the age of eighteen.

The show reconstructs the love story between Orlando and the very young Marcella Bonelli. During his imprisonment, Orlando manages to have some letters delivered to his mother through a ruse. But the true recipient of the letters is Marcella herself, whom Orlando will never see again, but to whom, in his last letter, he addresses with poignant words: “Dear Marcella, when you read this which will be my last contact with you, I will be in the world where at least I will find a little peace if the Good Lord who can do anything allows it”.

This concert for Remembrance Day is the last one that Guido Barbieri curates for the Amici della Musica as Artistic Director, an important and particularly well-groomed event that began under his direction. After more than ten years, in fact, he leaves the position and, in his place, joins the “Michelli” the maestro Fabio Tiberi.

The Society of Friends of Music “Guido Michelli” expresses to prof. Barbieri, the gratitude for the activity carried out and for the prestige that the Company has acquired thanks to its work, its competence, its profound culture and its vast relationships in the national and international musical field and addresses its new Artistic Director best wishes for good work and congratulates him on the new collaboration.
