After the excellent results of the theater year just concluded, which recorded a total of 140.000 spectators, improving the level of the pre-Covid 2018/19 season, Emilia Romagna ERT Theater / National Theatre offer a preview of productions and co-productions which will be carried out in 2023 / 24, waiting for the press conferences and presentations to teachers and the public scheduled in Modena, Bologna and Cesena on 5, 6, 7 and 19, 20, 21 September respectively, when the posters of the ERT theater system will be illustrated.
Il Ministry of Culture with the publication of the FUS contributions for 2022 awarded ERT as the first National Theatre for company size and by qualitative and quantitative score (overall 90 points out of 100). You also recognized Carne's focus on physical dramaturgy as first among the 57 dance festivals and reviews in terms of overall score, with the highest contribution among the 17 reviews.
52 productions and co-productions, Of which 30 new productions and 22 revivals, 3 international, 23 world premiere shows and 4 national premieres. For the 2023/2024 Season the production project of ERT / Teatro Nazionale involves important artists on the Italian scene, in addition to the director Valter Malosti, Nanni Moretti, Motus, Federico Tiezzi, Sandro Lombardi, Jacopo Gassmann, Alessandro Serra, Michela Lucenti / Civil Ballet; and international masters including Pascal Rambert, Theodoros Terzopoulos, Stéphane Braunschweig, Hannes Langolf, Sharon Fridman. Among the other artists supported by ERT are: Fabio Condemi, Matilde Vigna, Federica Rosellini with Francesca Zaccaria, Roberto Latini, Veronica Cruciani, Giuliano Scarpinato, Roberta Lidia De Stefano, Kepler-452.
A rich mix from which some focuses emerge: a tribute to Giovanni Testori on the occasion of the centenary of his birth, the theme of work, physical dramaturgy in the Carne exhibition, curated by Michela Lucenti. New rewritings, great acting interpretations, dance projects, musical projects and the artistic work carried out in the prisons of Castelfranco Emilia and Modena are developed around the works of William Shakespeare.
