Ediltrophy: the new edition arrives in town.
In Grosseto, Saturday 9 September, from 8.00 to 14, Piazza Dante will host the regional selections of Mural Art Competition “Ediltrophy'23", during which pairs of master masons, coming from all over Tuscany, will compete in the creation of an artifact designed to "rule of art".
The initiative, organized by the Grosseto Building School, is supported by the Municipality of Grosseto with the patronage of the Ministry of Labor, by the National Joint Commission for Building Funds, by the Professional Associations of Engineers and Surveyors and Graduate Surveyors, and by Inail. Participants will try their hand at construction of commonly used products (benches, barbecues, walls) so as to show the community the construction phases and the skills required. The goal is to raise awareness among the general public on issues related to workplace safety training, promoting, at the same time, the construction sector.
The winners of the regional selections will participate in the national final which will take place at Bari on October 21st, on the occasion of the final day of SAIE (International Construction Exhibition), where this year's best bricklayers will be elected.
The artefacts created will then be donated to the municipal administrations for the furnishing of parks, pedestrian streets and public parks.
"The event represents the ideal opportunity to promote the techniques and skills used every day by bricklayers during the design of all those objects used in everyday life – comment the mayor Anton Francesco Vivarelli Colonna and the Councilor for Culture Luca Agresti - We thank all those who mobilized to bring the selections to Grosseto, thus offering citizens the opportunity to see, in a different light, one of the oldest professions".
