“Trento in bici” returns on Sunday 22 September.

Everyone in the saddle (even the children) from Piazza Piedicastello to the Maria Teresa d'Asburgo Garden in Oltrefersina, for a day dedicated to sustainable mobility and road safety featuring music, entertainment and fun for all.

Sunday September 22th makes “Trento by bike”, the bike ride along the city streets promoted by the Municipality with the organizational collaboration of the Trento Tourism Board and the participation of Fiab.

The route of about 10 kilometers will move through the streets of the center, touching the three urban districts, and will be an opportunity to experience the city in an alternative way and promote sustainable and environmentally friendly mobility. There will be no road closures, but traffic will only be suspended when the bicycles pass.
The ride will start from Piazza Piedicastello with meeting starting at 9 am and departure at 10 am when the participants, accompanied by the Trento Local Police, will set off in complete safety towards Piazza Mostra for a small snack and then continue towards the Maria Teresa d'Asburgo Garden in Oltrefersina, which will be the setting for the party.

The Garden will host, in particular, the pasta party for all participants organized by the ANA Section of Trento and many entertainment activities and games for adults and children.

There will also be a fun-educational path dedicated to road safety education for children and adults proposed by the Trento Local Police as well as lots of music and entertainment by Radio Dolomiti.
During the event, the Mayor Franco Ianeselli will be given the recognition flag of Comune Ciclabile, a national competition in which the Municipal Administration participates every year. The most represented District among the registered participants will also be awarded with a plaque.
To participate in “Trento by Bike” Mandatory registration is required, which can be done starting today (the maximum number of participants is 300) on the official APT website.

The participation fee is 5 euros (free registration for children up to 2 years of age) will entitle you to a meal voucher of equal value to be used at the refreshment point.
The initiative is part of the European Mobility Week scheduled from 16 to 22 September.

This year's theme is “Sharing public spaces”, to make people reflect on the fact that the street is also a place for meeting and socialising, as well as "transit".

The invitation is to experiment with a different approach to reach new balances between the different needs of citizens.
