D_Bari launches "Bari Shopping Tour": registrations open to commercial activities for the construction of the trade map and thematic tours.
The councilor for Economic development Carla Palone announces that, as part of the activities of the Metropolitan District of Commerce and the program to support the local economy d_Bari 2022/24, the Municipality is planning “Bari Shopping Tour”, a city shopping map indicating some thematic tours to be disseminated among citizens and tourists.
The tours may concern, by way of example, sectors such as Fashion, Vintage, Sport & Fitness, Beauty & Wellness, Plants & Flowers, Crafts, Design & Furniture, Food & Beverage and more.
By 30 January 2024, interested commercial activities will be able to apply to be included in the shopping tours and in the general map of Bari trade by filling out the form available at link
The map will be made available, printed and presented to the city by end of next February.
“Local trade is a strong element of attraction for the city of Bari – comments Carla Palone -. With Bari Shopping Tour we want to build a participatory map, useful to citizens, city users and tourists, which puts the shops online and allows greater readability and usability of the city's commerce".
“The metropolitan commercial district – recalls Vito D'Ingeo, vice-president of the DUC – was created to create synergies and collaborations between traders to increase the flow of visitors and customers. Bari Shopping Tour is a useful tool for this discovery, which we want to build with the collaboration of Bari traders".
“We appeal to all shopkeepers in Bari – declares Raffaella Altamura, president of Confesercenti Bari – so that they participate in the construction of the map and help us spread the project in all the commercial districts of the city, even beyond the city center. The city, in fact, is full of commercial excellence that deserves visibility."
