Cremona, results of the votes for the Neighborhood Committees 15 and 16
Cremona, 2 November 2020 – The process for the renewal of the Neighborhood Committees concluded for this year on Saturday 31 October. Voting took place regularly, in compliance with current health regulations: use of a mask and measurement of body temperature before accessing the polling stations. A vote was taken to renew the 15 Bagnara – Battaglione – Gerre Borghi Neighborhood Committee and the 16 Center Neighborhood Committee. In the first case, 103 citizens (51 men and 52 women) went to vote at the polling station of the Civic Center of Bagnara, while in SpazioComune, where the polling station for District 16 had been set up, 163 voters (78 men and 85 women). Below are the results of this latest round of voting.

According to the regulations of the Neighborhood Committees, the Directors remain in office for 4 years and are made up of a number of members ranging from 6 to 9. In the event of a tie in individual preferences, the youngest candidate is elected or has an advantage in the ranking. The person with the highest number of votes is elected president, the second elected performs the functions of vice president. The president is also assisted by the secretary identified by him among the members of the Board of Directors.
The municipal administration extends an invitation to all elected representatives to promote and participate in the two-year creative writing project Neighborhood Stories which involves the collection of stories inspired by daily life in the neighborhoods which can be real or invented. This competition is organized in collaboration with Porte Aperte Festival, Centro Fumetto A. Pazienza, Centro Servizi Volontariato Lombardia Sud and the Educational Policies Sector. Its aim is to promote the experience of the Neighborhood Committees and to stimulate and incentivize participation in community life. that the neighborhood represents, offer a snapshot of the city starting from the different perceptions that citizens have and promote the sense of belonging and active citizenship in the young generations.
There are three paths designed: one aimed at children between 6 and 11 years old, one for adolescents between 12 and 17 years old and one for young people aged 18 and over. Participants will be able to write their stories and send them to the email address storiediquartiere@comune.cremona.it. This year the project will end on December 21st and subsequently all the stories will be evaluated by a technical jury, which will choose the most interesting ones to then create three small publications and will award the following prizes: three prizes for 6/11 year olds (primary school ); three prizes for 12/17 year olds (lower and upper secondary school); three prizes for 18/35 year olds; a prize for the class that sends the most stories.
