Chieti, the white night of sport returns: with music, entertainment and sports competitions 

Engines running for the second night of Sport which will take place on Sunday 7 July from 19pm onwards. Thursday 4 July the presentation of the event shared by the Administration with the Permanent Table of Commerce, the Provincial Coni and Tennis Chieti. The details were illustrated by the Sports and Commerce councilor Manuel Pantalone, by Massimiliano Milozzi of the provincial Coni, Ennio Marianetti for the amateur sports association Tennis Chieti,.

"Happy to confirm a commitment made, on the eve of an extraordinary year for the city and for sport as Chieti European City of Sport for 2025 - thus the councilor for Sport and Commerce Manuel Pantalone - The idea was born from a dialogue with Coni and the Chieti Tennis Association, this synergy is very important because it is aimed at sports practice and the value that this has especially for the younger generations. The city will change its look to host places where you can try or practice different disciplines. We want to open the doors of the city not only to the people of Chieti, but to the entire territory that practices sports and goes shopping here. I want to thank the entire municipal apparatus and the partners who are working together to give voice and body to this event. There will be events, large and small, special thanks that we will say to the sports talents who have raised the colors of the city with their results and sacrifices and we will liven up the evening with an activity that Chieti has always hosted, even in sensitive and delicate periods like the one we are experiencing”.

"Chieti has a heritage of associations that is a real treasure - said Mayor Diego Ferrara - which represents an important force for the present and future of the city. From day one, the Administration considered this dimension not as entertainment, but as strategic for the training of young people and necessary for the well-being of adults and the elderly, working to ensure that all our facilities were usable and capable of hosting events and the practice of sport daily. We invite citizens and the commercial and sporting sectors to participate in what adds a new chapter ".

"The event enjoys the important synergy with the municipal sports office which supported this initiative which last year involved over 500 kids and had around 10.000 visitors - thus Massimiliano Milozzi, provincial delegate of Coni Chieti – . These numbers are confirmed and this year there will also be music in Piazza Vico, with a DJ set that will also make you dance. We will also have the awards ceremony by Coni for all the athletes who have distinguished themselves during the year. We will also have Tommaso D'Orazio from Guardia, captain of the Cosenza B series who is in Abruzzo in those days. The formula is repeated: we will have the various disciplines along the course, Viale IV Novembre and Villa where children from 7 to 18 will compete. There will also be associations for the disabled, in order to combine sport and inclusion. As provincial president of Coni Chieti I am very satisfied to have managed to involve so many sports disciplines because in Chieti you will breathe sport deeply and, therefore, I invite everyone to participate. Long live sport and above all long live Chieti European city of sport for 2025, which on Sunday will be a real open-air gym for young people, but also for the many citizens of a certain age who compete. It will be wonderful to see sports being played on the Corso, at the Villa, a sporting excitement that will come to life and take shape. This is a source of satisfaction, pride and pleasure and will be a unique evening, created to unite sports associations and also involve the commercial sector.
