Chieti: everything is ready for the first edition of Convivio, on July 5th along Corso Marrucino.

Everything is ready for the first edition of “Convivio, the taste of dining in the heart of the city”, an event that will take place on Friday 5 July in the historic city centre, promoted by Lusso Live Experience and Chieti Welcome, in support of the Solidarity Couriers Onlus association and with the patronage of the Municipality of Chieti. Today the presentation conference with the mayor Diego Ferrara, the deputy mayor and councillor for events Paolo De Cesare, the councillor for Commerce Manuel Pantalone, the councillor Valerio Giannini, Matteo Marinozzi and Nico Di Benedetto, the driving forces behind the event.

“I want to highlight the human and social side of such an event, bringing the city community together – thus the mayor Diego Ferrara – , having people who know little or not know each other sit next to each other is a fundamental act to strengthen the sense of belonging, friendship and collaboration of citizens. The best ideas take shape during an open and identifying convivial and it is also possible that through this event it is possible to be together in a harmonious way between citizens. It will be an event not only from a tourist point of view, but also a socially useful and important one."

“I thank the guys who organized the event full of enthusiasm and positive energy and who with this initiative certify how useful this spirit is for the city – said the deputy mayor Paolo De Cesare – . The Convivio can become a reference both for reviving the historic center and for reinvigorating the sense of belonging to our city. The examples that come from other centers give us hope, so I thank the organizers and the councilor Valerio Giannini for having contributed to building it".

“A truly important event and we would like to thank the organizers and councilor Giannini who worked to create this initiative – adds the councilor for Commerce Manuel Pantalone – . The idea is to experience the Corso with a food and wine event, but at 360 degrees, with a very long table that will culminate in Piazza Vico, with services such as a baby club and entertainment. What is certain is that as an Administration we immediately said yes, because the potential of the event is great and we are thinking with the organizers of replicating it shortly also in other points of the city, just as we ask the activities of the historic center to stay open, because it will bring many people on the Course, it will enliven and give a boost to the industry for originality".

“The table is made possible by the Lusso agency, born because the center of Chieti requires the need for special events, which in their complexity are in line with the quality and the potential of the city – adds Valerio Giannini – . We trust in the organization's competence for logistical and technical details. The bureaucratic process is defined, we invite everyone to participate even by leaving the shops open which we hope will be an active part".

“The dinner will take place from 20.30 pm onwards around a laid table along Corso Marrucino – explain Matteo Marinozzi and Nico Di Benedetto, drivers of the event – . The proposal is that of a typical Abruzzo menu prepared by Gran Caffè Vittoria with local wines. It will be a dinner show designed for entertainment with Antonio Monaco and Alberto Marano, the idea is to involve all the city's talents. The promotion has already started, we have good feedback, starting from the municipal administration which gave us the support possible to make it happen. The event also has an important solidarity content, because it is in support of the Solidarity Couriers association and, specifically, of "Take me back", the beautiful project created by Antonio Di Leonardo and Andrea Mariani from Abruzzo, which combines travel and solidarity through the creation of a global network of solidarity couriers. A partnership, good food and good intentions, which goes together very well and which is promoted by the association also for humanitarian purposes”.
