Chieti: Awareness campaign “Women free from violence at work”

The awareness campaign also starts in the Province of Chieti “Women at work free from violence”, to protect victims of discrimination and violence in the workplace, a campaign already successfully launched in Teramo.

Promoted by the Equality Councillor of the Province of Chieti Monica Brandiferri and the Councillor of the Province of Chieti delegated to equal opportunities Charles Moro.

“We live in an era where the right to a safe and respectful work environment should be guaranteed to everyone. Unfortunately, gender-based violence and harassment in the workplace are still widespread. Mobbing, stalking, sexual and verbal harassment are just some of the forms of mistreatment that can make the work experience a nightmare.

We promote this campaign because we believe it is of fundamental importance to educate and raise awareness of the condemnation and elimination of all forms of discrimination in the workplace, but also to insist on inviting people who are victims of such deplorable conduct to report it to the competent authorities.

Only in this way will a new mentality based on a culture of tolerance, inclusion and full gender equality be established in the near future. There is no need to be afraid to speak up as silence can have serious consequences.
