Campomaggiore, the winners of the first edition of the “They are very comical” Festival.

The first edition of the Cabaret, Comedy Short Film and Book Festival was a triumph for the public and for laughter “They are very funny” took place Friday August 5 in Campomaggiore Vecchio (City of Utopia).

The event, organized by the cultural association “LA FABBRICA DEL TEATRO” as part of the “LUCANO RIDENS” event, and hosted by the comic trio “The Ricotta” saw the screening of six short films and performances by six cabaret artists. Judging the works and performances of the "aspiring" comedians, a technical jury composed of the president Pino Quartana, from the comedian Vincenzo Albano (who held the audience with an exhilarating performance), from Maurizio Leone, Vincenzo Pacilio e Francesco Cutro.

For the "shorts" section the winner was the director Michele Dido with the short film entitled “IL CORRIERE”.

For the "cabaret" section, the winner of the first edition of the Festival was the Potenza Ria Galasso, with a performance that convinced the judges and the public.

Finally, for the "book" section, the prize went to Domenico Palattella, co-author of the monograph “Renzo Montagnani. A free man” published by Dellisanti editore.

“We are more than satisfied with the organization of this first edition of the Festival and we thank the Municipality of Campomaggiore for having provided us with a wonderful location like that of the City of Utopia”, they stated Tonino Centola, Peppino Centola e Mario Ierace of the “La Ricotta” trio. “The competitors were all very good. Our hope is that the Festival can grow as well as the participation and level of the competitors".

The three masters of laughter "made in Basilicata" are planning important innovations regarding the future of the event which we will "spoil" very soon...
