Campobasso, the 2023 Mystery Festival presented.
With a press conference held this afternoon in the City Council Hall of Campobasso, the calendar of the Festival of Mysteries was presented by the municipal administration, with events in the city scheduled for the entire month of June and in which obviously the lion's share is played by the days of the Corpus Domini holiday.
The press conference to present the Festival was attended by the mayor of Campobasso, Roberto Gravina, the vice mayor, Paola Felice, the president of the Misteri e Tradizioni Association, architect Liberato Teberino, the president of the Council Commission for Culture, Nicola Giannantonio, the city councilor Antonio Vinciguerra and Pippo Venditti who provided his advice and availability to the administration to set up the main musical events of the programme.
A national and international event
“It will be a Corpus Christi that adds and does not subtract, that grows,” said the mayor of Campobasso, Roberto Gravina, “just think that this year the Festival of Mysteries will be able to boast the patronage of both the Ministry of Culture and that of Tourism, demonstrating how we are working to give an increasingly marked national and international recognition to the entire event, with events of different nature located in various areas of the city, continuing the organizational path tested in the last edition".
“And with attention to detail – adds Gravina – for which I thank the deputy mayor Paola Felice and the architect Liberato Teberino for everything that they put in place every year with the Misteri e Tradizioni Association to guarantee the perfect success of the parade of the geniuses of Zinno on the streets of our city."
Attention to children and families
“This year we have decided to dedicate particular attention to children and families – said the deputy mayor Felice – by setting up an area specifically designed for them and their entertainment in Via Roma. Thanks to the work coordinated also with the Culture Commission and for which I thank the president Nicola Giannantonio, we have managed to propose to the city a program which will see an alternation of cultural, musical proposals, photographic exhibitions and sporting events".
“The latter – continues Felice – are added to the usual proposals planned for the week of Corpus Domini and which aim, increasingly, as is in the program of our administration, to develop a territorial marketing model with our most important holiday at the centre. felt and participated.”
Live music
There was great attention on the live musical events planned for this edition of the Festival and which Pippo Venditti spoke about.
“In addition to the two paid concerts that the administration has already previewed in the past few weeks and which will be held in the Selva Piana events area, I am referring to the one in Mannarino, scheduled for Saturday 10 June, and that of Fabri Fibra, scheduled for Sunday 11 June, there will be important musical events in the center of Campobasso, open to all free of charge, as already happened last year” – explained Pippo Venditti.
It will start on Friday 9 June, with Sergio Caputo and his Big Band, who will propose the concert "Un Sabato italiano 40", in the performance area of Piazza della Vittoria, at 21.30 pm. Saturday 10 June, always in the same location in the centre, DJ set with Dompero, DJ Uncino and Deliuan which will liven up the square with an evening awaited not only by the youngest.
Live Passion
Finally, on Sunday 11 June, on the evening of Corpus Domini, the protagonists of Passione Live will propose a true signature finale in Piazza della Vittoria, a "colourful caravan" of musicians and performers of the highest level who aimed to spread and revive the classic and contemporary “Neapolitan song”. through an exciting tour which resulted in a series of sold-outs in prestigious locations and festivals.
Among the protagonists of Passione Live there will be Francesco Di Bella (24Grana), Roberto Colella (The mask), Clumsy, Gnut, Flo's, Irene Scarpato (Suonne d'Ajere), Simon Boo, Root (Almamegretta) e 'O Zulu (99Posse)”
Mannarino and Fabri Fibra
In conclusion, the mayor also provided some numbers regarding the presales of the two paid concerts that will be held in the events area in Selva Piana. As for the Mannarino concert, zero date of his summer tour, half of the available tickets have already been sold, i.e. 2400, with only seats. Instead, for the Fabri Fibra concert which will not have seats, the figure has already reached well over 6000 tickets sold and there are still over fifteen days left until Corpus Domini.
