Cagliari: the summer festival of music, theater, cinema and animation stops in Giorgino with the show “Si muove la città” scheduled for Thursday, August 22.

Leisure, cultural enrichment but above all sharing and inclusion of all of Cagliari, both with the involvement of citizens and tourists who crowd the city.

These are the objectives of the summer festival of music, theatre, cinema and animation “The city is moving” which will stop in Giorgino on Thursday 22 August 2024.

Like all other appointments, those scheduled this week will also be ad free entry.

The protagonist of the week, in fact, will be Giorgino where on Thursday 22nd starting from 20pm it will be the turn of the "Teatro dall'armonia" company to enliven the evening with "Le Canzoni della Città". The show is dedicated to anecdotes and music related to the city of Cagliari, for children of all ages. They will be on stage Antonello Murgia and Fabio Marceddu, grappling with a picturesque and colorful popular portrait of the island's capital, experienced through the eyes of children who lived in the center and went to the seaside in Giorgino, finding themselves living on the outskirts of the seventies. Between well-known and unreleased songs, the two actors will figuratively retrace some decades of their lives, which have evolved in parallel with the changing city itself.

to 20,30 the show “Sardi della plain” is scheduled with Flavio Soriga and Renzo Cugis, committed to telling the many contradictions of the island, challenging commonplaces, eradicating ancient beliefs, questioning the many complexities of the history and culture of Sardinia, in a show acted, sung, sometimes shouted badly, with incorporated musical accompaniment by Samuele Dessì, without special effects but with the hope of making you laugh (or at least smile). Singer-songwriter Pasquale Demis Posadinu will take part in the initiative.

Closing the evening, with an appointment at 22pm, will be the group from the Armeria dei Briganti with the usual mixture of swing, Italian songwriting, traditional music and jazz manouche, among stories of titanic feats of everyday life, in a not too shy outline of song theater. “Give us a stage and we'll lift your spirits” is the motto of the group active since 2006, which makes interaction with the public one of its strong points, with a wise and spontaneous use of irony as an essential way of understanding music and entertainment.

After Giorgino's stage, “The city is moving” will continue its journey to Cagliari with the appointments already set for Wednesday 28 and Thursday 29 August.

Wednesday August 28 in Piazzetta Aquilino Cannas at 20.30pm the film “Bellas Mariposas” will be screened directed by Salvatore Mereu. The following day (Thursday 29th) the appointment is, however, in the spaces of the Ex Vetreria di Pirri with a rich program that will start at 19pm with Riccardo Tanca's family show “Three-wheeled Circus”. At 20 pm music will still be the protagonist with the Electronic Music Concert proposed by the Civic Music School of Cagliari. At 20.30:21.30 pm the spotlight will be on the monologue by Pierpaolo Piludu entitled “Famiglia Puddu” and at XNUMX:XNUMX pm the closing with the concert “Terre del Ritorno” by the Ambra Pintore quartet.
