Cagliari, Carovana Sonora 2024: music and peace at the Teatro Massimo.
Under the patronage of the Municipality, from Friday 8 to Sunday 10 November 2024, The 2nd edition of the Carovana Sonora, a Jazzin' family project, arrives at the Teatro Massimo in Cagliari, created in collaboration with the Tavolo permanente musica 0-6, aimed at the community of families aged 0-6 and expectant parents.
The theme on which some of the best national artists-educators in the musical sound field dedicated to zero-six will discuss, together with the guests and participants of the first opening event (including institutional representatives, academics, 0-6 professionals, nursery and kindergarten representatives, university students) It will be music dedicated to the very young and interpreted as an opportunity to educate for world peace.
The three-day Caravan will begin on the morning of Friday, November 8 (9 am - 13 pm) with an experimental round table in which we will try to trace possible paths to build a shared sense of peace and activate processes of education to non-violence, starting right from the beginning of life. A mix of knowledge and skills, of intergenerational dialogues, of aspirations and visions of both a present and a possible future, which will contribute to launching the city of Cagliari as one of the world capitals of peace.
Moderated by Arnolfo Borsacchi and Francesca Romana Motzo (members of Tpm 06), the round table will be enriched by the presence of Aide Esu (associate professor of sociology, Department of Political and Social Sciences, University of Cagliari), Enrica Spada (pedagogist, expert in educational and creative movement, expert in general pedagogy, University of Cagliari), Elisabetta Piras (professor of music pedagogy in the Department of Music Teaching, Cagliari Conservatory of Music), Giulia Andreozzi (councillor for Public Education, Cagliari Municipality), Manuela Atzeni (director of Public Education and Youth Policies, Cagliari Municipality) and Marta Mereu (president of the Culture Commission, Cagliari Municipality).
The event, which will continue until Sunday 10 November, also includes a calendar of workshops dedicated to pregnant women and families aged 0-6.
We start on Friday 8 November with Il corpo percettivo, an integrated music therapy experience dedicated to pregnancy, conducted by Francesca Romana Motzo (contattosonoro) and Graziella Puzzo (Chiocciole sonore), which aims to offer pregnant women a unique opportunity to deeply connect with their bodies and with the fetus through sound-musical exploration. Using breath, heartbeat and movement, participants will discover how to create spontaneous sound dialogues and musical forms.
On Saturday 9 November, Arnolfo Borsacchi (Audiation Institute) will address the topic of singing during pregnancy and in the first year of life, in the meeting entitled Nascere in musica. Music is in fact the result of an ancient behavior that speaks of mutual care, belonging, survival. Already when we live in our mother's belly we expect to meet her. How can we satisfy this expectation of children? Also on Saturday, double appointment with Libri cantati, libri narrati curated by Francesca Venturoli (Piccola musica). Together, we will try to discover if a book can only be read or can also be sung, guiding parents and children in search of a new way of perceiving books through the sung voice and played music.
Last day, Sunday 10 November 2024, with The Carnival of Animals and its Surroundings conducted by Paola Conte (Crescendo in musica), Emmanuela Zanchetta (Associazione Musica XXI) and Francesco Ciminiello (percussion teacher at the Cagliari Conservatory of Music). A mini musical show with the voice of a cello and a piano, for children aged 3 to 6, inspired by the work of Saint-Saëns.
The melodies and rhythms accompany the little spectators who, guided by their imagination, after listening, interpret the animals sonically, creating an engaging and creative experience. The workshops are scheduled to close in the afternoon with The Sound Box, a small journey full of music and fantasy that includes sung dialogues, listening aimed at developing the child's innate musical perception, rhythmic instrumental explorations, body movement games, moments of relaxation and silence. Hosted by Monica Scarfò and Luca Battaglia (MagicaMusica).
