Brescia: the seventh edition of the Festival of Flavours

Brescia: the seventh edition of the Festival of Flavours
The seventh edition is being renewed Festival of Flavors, the annual event organized by the Tourism Department of the Municipality of Brescia to introduce citizens and tourists to the food and wine excellences of the city and the province.
The event enters the clubs, restaurants and taverns of Brescia and brings the producers of the province to the heart of the city with recipes and products that enhance the Brescian food and wine tradition under the banner of quality, sustainability and biodiversity, also aiming on creativity and innovation.
The protagonists are, as always, the restaurateurs and producers of the East Lombardy network, brand of the Gastronomic Region of Eastern Lombardy which includes the four provinces of Brescia, Bergamo, Cremona and Mantua with the aim of supporting the food and wine of the area and promoting its peculiarities and excellence at a national and international level.
The protagonists will also be the De.Co. Brescia branded products, recognition awarded by the Municipal Administration to the typical products and recipes of the city, with a view to promoting tourism and trade. To date, five recipes are protected: Pirlo, Bertagnì, Brescian Biscuit, Persicata, Bossolà.
The event's formula is renewed this year to open and enrich the calendar of Merry Christmas Brescia, traditional schedule of Brescia Christmas events, and presents itself to the public with a new graphic design.
The demonstration will begin Sunday December 1 with the East Lombardy Bresca producers market exhibition. In Formentone Square, from 10 am to 18 pm, it will be possible to meet the producers and buy the gastronomic products of our territory: cheese, oil, honey, baked goods and much more.
Furthermore, between November and Januaryin eight restaurants in the city will host as many narrated dinners in collaboration with i Wine Consortia and Roads of the Brescia area. The restaurants will open their doors to welcome citizens and tourists, presenting menus created specifically for the occasion, to discover typical or revisited local recipes that use local productsThe appointments include a fixed price menu and reservations required.
