Brescia, presentation of the book “The laws of women who changed Italy” 50 years after the Piazza della Loggia massacre
On Thursday, November 7, at Casa dei Mercanti in Brescia, Livia Turco, Daria Gabusi, and Gianfranco Porta will discuss the legislative achievements of Italian women, in a meeting that also celebrates the 50th anniversary of the Piazza Loggia massacre.
Thursday 7 November at 18 pm, in the “Falcone Borsellino” Hall, Casa dei Mercanti, Faculty of Law (via G. Mameli 27), the book “The laws of women who changed Italy” edited by the Nilde Iotti Foundation and with a preface by Livia Turco will be presented.
The presentation, curated by Casa della Memoria, It is part of the initiatives for the 50th anniversary of the Piazza della Loggia massacre. During the presentation Livia Turco will talk with the historian Daria Gabusi and the historian Gianfranco Porta. Free admission until seats are taken.
On this occasion it will be presented the new edition of the book “To not continue the Silence…” edited by AIED of Brescia, section Livia Bottardi Milani, first published in 1975 in memory of the women who died in Piazza Loggia on 28.05.1974.
The publication traces the great commitment that the victims have made to improve the condition of women at the time, including the campaign for the abrogative referendum on divorce, of which this year marks the 50th anniversary, which, as has been ascertained in court, is a precursor to the massacre.
