Brescia: during the Porta Cremona patronal festival, the association “La Banca del Tempo” presents “Why Sanremo is Sanremo for Brazil”
Banca del Tempo, a volunteer association founded in the Parish of Santa Maria della Vittoria to help people in need, presents together with the Ghedi Festival, the Porta Cremona-Volta District Council and the Municipality of Brescia: “WHY SANREMO IS SANREMO FOR BRAZIL”. Saturday 5 October at 21 pm at the Teatro Piamarta in via Cremona in Brescia.
Brescia: during the Porta Cremona patronal festival, the association “La Banca del Tempo” presents “Why Sanremo is Sanremo for Brazil”.
Within the Patronal feast of Porta Cremona, the Time Bank will celebrate its third year of activity with a musical show dedicated to the Sanremo Festival, a real competition between the most beautiful songs of the Festival, played by a live band and interpreted by the most beautiful voices from Brescia.
The artistic director will be the music producer Mario Natale, his CV includes two first places at the Festival as Orchestra Conductor (in 2002 with “Messaggio d'amore” he conducted Matia Bazar and in 2005 with “Non credo nei miracoli” he conducted Laura Bono in the “Young People” category).
The songs will be performed by eight singers from Brescia among the most well-known in the provincial circuit, who have had professional experiences at the highest levels also at a national level:

- Norma Benetti
- Roberta Pompa
- Ugo Frialdi
- Fabrizio Valli
- Stefano Gelmini
- Vincenza Casati
- Fabio Migliorati
There will be a vote for the best song quality jury, helped by the public who will vote via social media. The members of the jury are well-known figures in the fields of television, journalism, radio, writing and music who have distinguished themselves in their corresponding sectors:
- Bruno Santori (conductor, composer, arranger)
- Marco Rettani (author, composer and music producer)
- Magdalene Damini (artistic director Teletutto and Radio Bresciasette)
- Federica Forty (musician, member of the Sanremo Festival orchestra)
- Andrea Amati (author, composer)
- Christian Piccinelli (music producer)
- Andrea Lombardi (radio speaker Radio Bresciasette)
- Daniele Ardenghi (journalist Brescia newspaper)
The guest of honor will be FRANCO FASANO, author of the most beautiful pieces that made our fellow citizen Fausto Leali famous, such as Ti lascerò (winning in 1989), “Mi manchi” and “Amo”.
During the evening a presentation will be made to the publiccharitable initiative piamartina among the most praiseworthy: “OPERATION HAPPY”, the non-profit organization created to support the poorest children in the northeast of Brazil. Hence the title of the evening “For Brazil”.

WHO IS THE TIME BANK AND WHAT DOES IT DO?
The Time Bank is made up of a group of 35 volunteers and was born from the will of Andrea Valli and Father Benedetto Picca, superior general of the Holy Family of Nazareth, supported by Father Francesco Ferrari, parish priest of the Church of Santa Maria Vittoria in via Cremona in Brescia. The volunteers they offer their time and availability to those who need it, for company, small errands, accompanying you to do the shopping, transportation to medical visits, small household chores. From December 31, 2021 (date of the first service) to today, over 440 services are carried out. The organization of volunteers is done through a secretariat that sorts the requests thanks to an App created by Eng. Mario Musmeci.
The Time Bank has also started to collaborate with the Municipality of Brescia, specifically, with the Social Workers of the southern area of the city.
The Time Bank is always open to new volunteers who have the desire and time to dedicate to those who need it most!
