Brescia, Brescia Musei Foundation participates in the “Art Bonus Project of the Year” competition with Tortelli's canvases
Brescia, the new edition of the "Art Bonus Project of the Year" competition kicked off on Thursday 19 January to reward the best interventions financed through the tax credit introduced in Italy by Minister Franceschini as support for cultural patronage.
Competition "Art Bonus Project of the Year”, was conceived in 2016 with the aim of offering a moment of visibility e recognition to organizations promoting collections Art Bonus and theirs donors, making i protagonist territories also thanks to vote expressed by popular jury of citizens who vote on the projects on platform, of the competition or sui social.
La Brescia Museums Foundation participates in the competition with the double ambitious intervention of maintenance, protection and restoration of Ph di Giuseppe Tortelli, Belshazzar's Banquet e Expulsion of Heliodorus, the two works that were donated to the Municipality of Brescia by the Mangiante brothers in February 1890, currently exhibited at the Tosio Martinengo Art Gallery and which have undergone a restoration project that has achieved the economic objective by 31 December 2021 - as required by the regulation.
The restoration of two canvases by Tortelli, now set up in their traditional location, on the walls of the grand staircase, was curated by Marchetti studio e Fontanini of Brescia and, for its realization Brescia Museums Foundation started in 2018 a fundraiser throughArt Bonus, completed also thanks to the decision of Metal Work Pneumatic, a Brescia company based in Concesio, world leader in industrial automation, to support the Tosio Martinengo Art Gallery.
Il Art Bonus Competition will take place in two phases: from 19 January to 21 March 2022 the votes will take place on place Art Bonus. From March 22nd to April 1st 2022 i top 10 projects who will have received the highest number of votes on the Art Bonus platform they will participate in the social voting only, challenging each other to the sound of “Likes” on profiles Facebook e Instagram by Art Bonus.
He will be declared the winner of the Art Bonus Competition 2021 the project that will get the highest score by adding the votes received in the two voting phases.
"The number of patrons who, with their donations, contribute to the restoration of cultural heritage and the support of museums, music and entertainment continues to grow. The numbers of the Art Bonus are very positive, since its establishment, thanks to the generosity of over 26 thousand patrons, around 650 million euros have been raised which have contributed to the financing of around 5 thousand interventions throughout Italy”. So the Minister of Culture, Dario Franceschini, on the occasion of the launch of the XNUMXth edition of the Competition "Art Bonus Project of the Year". "This new edition of the competition - he adds Franceschini - it is a further way to enhance a tax measure that is working very well and bring it closer, through social networks, to the younger generations".
"The inclusion in the short list of the most valuable projects competing for the prize is in itself a recognition of the great work done in the restoration of these works, through the fruitful use of the extraordinary tool of the Art Bonus”, says the director of the Brescia Musei Foundation, Stefano Karadjov. "Now it's all in the hands of our beloved public, who we ask to demonstrate their civic pride, in particular addressing here the citizens of Brescia, who frequent our art gallery so much, to excel in this singular competition where beauty is the protagonist".
The awards ceremony will take place Friday April 15 during a public event organized by Ministry of Culture, ALES Spa e Promo PA Foundation – LuBeC, the three promoters of the Competition.
