The Marche towards the digital future: two events in Ascoli Piceno and Senigallia to discuss ultra-broadband and digital levers for economic development.

They will be held on Friday 8 March, in Ascoli Piceno, at the Confindustria headquarters (Corso Giuseppe Mazzini n. 151) and Thursday 14 March 2024, in Senigallia, at La Rotonda a mare (Piazzale della Libertà n. 23), starting from 10.00, the two meetings in the area to discuss the state of progress of Ultra Broadband in the municipalities, to share the results of the main projects of the Agenda for the Digital Transformation of the Marche already completed, and of the new regional strategic initiatives deriving from the PNRR and the new ERDF programming.

"Ultra-broadband is a fundamental pillar for the future of the Marche region – states the councilor for economic development Andrea Maria Antonini – This lever, and more generally any advancement linked to digitalisation, represent opportunity extraordinary to improve the quality of life of citizens, stimulate entrepreneurial innovation, strengthen education and training, revolutionize the healthcare sector. We are committed to improving and exploiting digital infrastructures and technologies, as fundamental bases for the implementation of the interventions of the ERDF PR 21/27, with the aim of creating a future more connected and better for all Marche residents".

The meetings will be attended, together with councilor Antonini, by the director of the Economic Development department Stefania Bussoletti and the manager of the sector Digital Transition and IT Serena Carota. Representatives of Anci Marche, Confindustria Ascoli Piceno and local trade associations will also take part.

The two events, aimed in particular at businesses and public administrations, will be an opportunity to stimulate discussion between participants, also regarding the synergies that digitalisation is able to create between the sectors involved.

It will also be an important opportunity for comparison for the planning of the municipalities, relating to the "Integrated Digital Services" tender of the PR FESR 21/27, which provides a financial allocation of 7.000.000 €, of which one million reserved for the Municipalities included in the regional list of historic villages in the Marche. The projects presented far exceeded the expected budget, demonstrating the great interest of the area.
