Prologue

Meat, the dance review of Emilia Romagna ERT Theater / National Theatre dedicated to physical dramaturgy and curated by the choreographer and dancer Michela Lucenti, returns to intertwine with the Foundation's Theater Seasons with 24 shows including 5 world premieres, after last year's success, confirmed by the important ministerial recognition with the highest score among the 57 festivals and exhibitions.

Born to explore the narrative and interpretative possibilities of body language, «twitness of a present (complicated and violent) where a new ethical sense is necessary", says the curator, Carne draws attention «on a body that is not only harmonious, but which takes the responsibility of acting on the scene by accepting the symbolic status that the images of its story propose".
The program welcomes a plurality of languages, geographical origins and cultural origins: between international personalities, Italian masters, emerging talents, paths dedicated to the territories and training in the field of Iolanda Gazzerro Theater School, co-financed by the European Social Fund and the Emilia-Romagna Region. The objective is to make the language of dance accessible, seeking «through performance, a shared community social function, an involvement with all active citizens, including those with disabilities, in search of a new popular physical theatre" - he concludes Shiny.

In this trajectory the curator has built in Bologna a four-day Prologue, entirely dedicated to physical dramaturgy, which inaugurates the second edition of Carne, between Arena del Sole Theatre and Moline Theatre, from 19 to 22 October. An original program that brings together very different artists from the Italian and international scene: the Israeli choreographer Sharon Friedman, master of contact improvisation; the director and actor Giuliano Scarpinato who tests himself with dance for the first time by collaborating with the performer Cristian Cucco and the musician Giacomo Agnifili in the new work All about Adam; Federica Rosellini, actress, director and author and the dancer Francesca Zaccaria in an unprecedented artistic meeting, Não Não (First studio).
