Bologna, for the 44th anniversary of the Ustica massacre: new events for the Around the Museum review
The initiatives to remember the Ustica massacre continue with the "Around the Museum" exhibition, in the space in front of the Museum for the Memory of Ustica in the Zucca park. Two events for this week, tonight Thursday 11 July there will be the Pulse Percussion Duo concert, while on Sunday 14 July 3D Soundscape - The Battle for Ustica, a sound work created by Oderso Rubini.
Bologna, for the 44th anniversary of the Ustica massacre: new appointments in the Around the Museum exhibition
The Around the Museum events continue, the cultural review dedicated to the 44th anniversary of the Ustica massacre in the space in front of the Museum for the Memory of Ustica in the Zucca park, in via di Saliceto 3/22.
Thursday 11 July at 21pm, in collaboration with the GB Martini Conservatory of Bologna, Pulse Percussion Duo concert, per century Mattia Grassi and Pierfrancesco Semeraro and a sonic journey made of explosive energy, that brings percussion music to explore a broad musical repertoire, from classical to popular and contemporary music.
The noise of percussion to recall the need to break silences, silence, rubber walls: iin contrast to the whisper of voices from Christian Boltanski's installation around the wreck of the Itavia DC9, the music of the duo Pulse overwhelms the audience with a fast-paced rhythm, symbolically raising their voices in search of the truth.
Sunday 14 July at 19 will be 3D Soundscape – The Battle for Ustic presenteda, sound work created by Oderso Rubini and composed by Carlo Cialdo Capelli, musician and composer, on the occasion of the third anniversary of the death of Christian Boltanski: a polyphonic score created in starting from the voices of the 81 speakers - one for each victim - that make up the installation of the French artist, which widens to create an immersive journey, recalling the depths of the sea and returning on the one hand the sense of human fragility, on the other a message of hope, determination and courage. A touching and meaningful listening experience and will offer the public until August 10th a different way to experience the permanent installation of the Museum for the Memory of Ustica (from Friday to Sunday at 17.30pm and on review evenings at 21pm and at the end of the shows).
- The external spaces of the Museum for the Memory of Ustica are enriched, during the days of the exhibition, of drawings made during the year by students of some schools in Romagna, fruit of visits to the Museum and meetings with the Relatives Association, which tell the point of view of boys and girls compared to the experience of the Museum and the story of the massacre. In a sort of open-air museum, the drawings will complete the installations already present on the external walls, alongside the very famous cartoons from the satirical weekly Cuore.
For all the evenings of the festival the Cucine Popolari of Bologna in collaboration with the Antonio Montanari Social Center starting from 19pm they will prepare the “Solidarity dishes”, as part of the Memory on the table project.
Il Finally, the Museum for the Memory of Ustica offers an extraordinary opening from 20pm to 23pm. the Education Department MAMbo offers a free guided tour of the Museum at 20pm: the booking is mandatory by writing to the email mamboedu@comune.bologna.it by 13pm the previous day.
On other days the Museum's summer opening hours remain unchanged, valid from 28 June to 29 September: Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 17pm to 20pm.
