The events of Around the Museum continue, the cultural event dedicated to the 44th anniversary of the Ustica massacre in the space in front of the Museum for the Memory of Ustica in the Zucca park, in via di Saliceto 3/22.
In memory of Andrea Purgatori, who dedicated much of his life as an investigative journalist to the Ustica massacre, is dedicated Friday 19 July, the first anniversary of his death, the concert of Francesco Cafiso (alto sax) and Alessandro Lanzoni (piano), both enfants prodiges of jazz music and today among the most established musicians in the national and international scene. Appointment at 21:15 pm for an evening in collaboration with the Bologna Jazz Festival.
The outdoor spaces of the Museum for the Memory of Ustica are enriched, during the days of the exhibition, drawings made during the year by students of some schools in Romagna, the result of visits to the Museum and meetings with the Parents' Association, which they tell the point of view of the boys and girls regarding the experience of the Museum and the story of the massacre. In a sort of open-air museum, the drawings will complement the installations already present on the external walls, alongside the very famous cartoons from the satirical weekly Cuore.
For all the evenings of the event land Cucine Popolari di Bologna in collaboration with the Centro Sociale Antonio Montanari starting at 19:30 pm will prepare the “Solidarity Dishes”, as part of the Memory on the table project.
Finally, the Museum for the Memory of Ustica proposes an extraordinary opening from 20pm to 23pm. the MAMbo Educational Department proposes a visitfree guided tour of the Museum at 20pm: booking is required writing to email mamboedu@comune.bologna.it by 13pm the previous day. On other days the Museum's summer opening hours remain unchanged, valid from 28 June to 29 September: Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 17pm to 20pm.
