Benevento, Tomato Festival: the 2nd edition kicks off at Palazzo Paolo V

On October 31st in Benevento an event is celebrated for the integration and transformation of the tomato through the experiences of unaccompanied foreign minors. The beneficiaries of the project were in fact involved in the activities.

Thursday 31 October starting at 10:30, at Palazzo Paolo V, there will be the 2nd edition of the Tomato Festival, an event that is part of the SAI MSNA Project (Reception and integration system for unaccompanied foreign minors) promoted by the Municipality of Benevento together with the Matrix Consortium.

The beneficiaries of the project were in fact involved in the related activities from the transformation of tomatoes to the artisanal production of preserves. During the event, we will talk about the experience lived by minors during the activities related to tomato processing and we will discuss immigration and integration in general.

The program includes first of all institutional greetings from the Councilor for Productive Activities Luigi Ambrosone and the Councilor for Social Policies Carmen Coppola.

Following the introductions of the general director of the Matrix Consortium Simone Caner and the coordinator of the SAI MSNA of Benevento Carmine Ruotolo.

It will then be the turn of the speeches of the representative of the Community of S. Egidio Celestino De Marco, of the president of Confagricoltura of Benevento Antonio Casazza, of the president of the CIA of Benevento Carmine Fusco, of the president of Coldiretti of Benevento Gennaro Masiello and of the director of the Social Services Sector Gennaro Santamaria.

The conclusions will be entrusted to the mayor of Benevento Clemente Mastella, while the works will be coordinated by the municipal press officer Billy Nuzzolillo.
