Birra e Sound, the international beer festival of Leverano (LE) with music and performances from 1 to 7 August.

Evening number four on August 4 for the 17th edition of Beer and Sound, international festival of beer and brewing art, organized by Mebimport. On the musical front, on the central stage, a group that is the greatest expression of Salento, the Après la Classe, historic presences of the BeS Festival. For the legendary Saturday (5th August) of the festival there is also a big party with a national folk group, i Lennon Kelly, who make Irish punk and folk music dance and as was done last year with Fargetta, this year too we salute the dance legend with a great DJ like Maurizio Mollella, producer of the best 90s dance which we remember among others the great success of Free from Desire. Sunday August 6th we have the heartbeat Kawabonga and finally we also close this edition with Antonio Castrignanò and his Taranta Sounds. Let's not forget that the pine forest stage will also host great music this year of a truly high level, from the collective Ninco Nanco in Nuju, da Mascarimirì a Babbutzi Orkestarand at our siaka a Dalyrium Bay until closing with Hound Dogs".

Among the tables, engaged in service and other tasks, appropriately followed by companions and experts, i “special kids”, joyful epiphany of the value of inclusion and of that theme "colors” which this year accompanies the event, to remember the importance of all the nuances of life and sociality. The "special kids" provide welcome service, table service, info points and pour beer in stands adapted to their physical needs, especially in the case of motor disabilities. They themselves will tell the story in action that disability is in the eye of the beholder, and they will be an active part of the festival until the end, employed for the entire duration of the event and supported by two qualified operators.

“In terms of the beers being tasted – they explain Fernando and Maurizio Zecca -, we have given ample space, in addition to the specialties arriving from all over Italy and the world, to the universe of artisanal productions, increasingly appreciated by experts in the sector and by those approaching the world of brewing for the first time, starting from craft beers Leveranese of Salento beer. Not only that, thanks to the presence of Consortium for the Promotion and Protection of Italian Craft Beer from the Agricultural Supply Chain in the pine forest area, the great protagonists are Italian productions with a short and certified supply chain which tell the value of the production alliance on a national scale between agricultural producers, malthouses and independent breweries who have embraced the philosophy of Italian raw materials and ethical supply chain remuneration. Producers of cereals, hops, malt and beer have a home where they can make themselves known to the Birra e Sound public." On the entertainment front, the artistic incursions of the street artist crew of 167b street art continue, and the dreamy magic of the buskers of Luca Casto's large family "poor” with jugglers, acrobats, visual performances, stilt walkers, fire breathers and there will be poetry and magic.
