Bari, Colibrì - the Bari library network tomorrow the inauguration of the Lombardi library with IC "Grimaldi -Lombardi"
The inauguration of the library will be held tomorrow, Friday 12 January, at 17 pm, in via Lombardia 2, in the San Paolo district “Lombardi”, the largest of the eleven in the project Colibrì – Bari library network, financed by the regional Community library notice.
The library, the last of the city network to be inaugurated, designed by the MA0 architecture studio of Rome, is structured on three levels, on a surface area of 856 mXNUMX, and is part of the Comprehensive Institute “Grimaldi – Lombardi”, with independent access.
It has consultation rooms with internet stations, ceiling screens, a common room for events and readings, meeting rooms, archives and spaces for artistic-cultural workshops.
It is currently equipped with a large catalog of literature for children and adolescents, comics, illustrated books and a large selection of fiction for adults, as well as a section of books in Braille for the visually impaired. The potential book collection is at least 20.000 volumes and has a reading orientation that ranges from childhood to young adults.
ATS which will manage the structure for the next 36 months, created as a result of the co-planning process launched by the Municipality of Bari with funds PON Metro 2014-2020, is formed by the Cooperativa Sociale I Bambini di Truffaut, leader of the project, in partnership with the Giovanni Paolo II Foundation onlus
