“The reopening of Terminal T2 marks the restart of Malpensa airport at full capacity, confirming the centrality and strategic nature of the Lombardy airport. Because Malpensa is a point of reference above all for international flows and because this is what the territory wants, which needs to develop its economy".
This was said by the president of the Lombardy Region, Attilio Fontana, speaking at the inauguration ceremony of the reopening of Terminal T2 of Malpensa airport.
“Malpensa airport – continued the president – is strategic for the entire Po Valley basin and must return to flying ever higher with its own wings without anyone trying to clip them”.
“Furthermore, the renovation of Terminal T2 – concluded Fontana – represents the model of sustainable development as we understand it, capable of bringing together respect for the environment on the one hand and that of the economy on the other, not what he would like to impose on us a certain part of Europe".
