It will be inaugurated Saturday 16 December 2023, at 11.00 am, in the Costantino Barbella art museum, la exhibition “Creativity heals the soul” of the artists Liberata Mizzoni and Mariapia D'Intino, curated by professor Maria Assunta Narciso.

Art heals the soul: colors are life, we are surrounded and influenced by it, even if we don't realize it. Art nourishes the soul, engages the emotions and frees the spirit. When faced with a pictorial work, each of us can receive suggestions, capable of bringing them into our own self. The observer will be able to investigate his personal experience and feelings and will begin a healing journey in front of the work of art. The nourishment of the emotions that a work offers becomes a healing principle. The art of poetry was the care of Alda Merini, which inspired many paintings by Liberata Mizzoni.

I bright colors they have always been the distinctive sign of Mariapia D'Intino, a contemporary artist who has dedicated her life to abstract art. Art must not be a simple reproduction of reality, but a personal interpretation of the artist's inner world. Abstract art invites the viewer to reflect on their perception of the world and to grasp the hidden meanings in shapes and colors. It is necessary to look beyond appearances, open ourselves to the beauty of purely aesthetic forms and explore our inner world through creativity. Each of us will be able to find a personal interpretation in these paintings, thanks to the ability of shapes and colors evoke different emotions.

The exhibition, sponsored by the Municipality of Chieti, will remain open from 13 to 30 December 2023.

Mizzoni freed (Boville Ernica) is a designer, painter and fashion designer. You have participated in numerous exhibitions such as the Venice Biennale.
Mariapia D'Intino (Chieti) is a self-taught artist who has dedicated her life to abstract art. You have participated in personal and collective exhibitions in Abruzzo and Brindisi.
