The Importance of Soft Skills in Training
Arezzo: “Career Toolbox: What Must Not Be Missing?” the meeting for the cycle “The University in the city”.
Arezzo is preparing to conclude the cycle of appointments “The University in the city” with a meeting entitled “Career Toolbox: What Should Not Be Missing?”. This event, aimed at citizens, was planned by the various departments of the University of Siena present on the University Campus of Arezzo in collaboration with local bodies and entities. The event will take place on June 6th at the Arezzo Fiere e Congressi Auditorium at 10 am, as part of the "Colonna Day" of the Vittoria Colonna high school in Arezzo.
The main objective of this meeting is to reflect, together with the students, on the skills that today, more than ever, are indispensable in their education and which must be continuously developed. In a constantly evolving world, where the job market increasingly requires transversal skills, so-called "soft skills" play a fundamental role in an individual's success.
The speakers at the event will be Fabrizio Bernini, president of Confindustria Toscana Sud and Zucchetti Centro Sistemi, and Daniele Basile, former student of the University of Siena and current growth consultant and account manager in various international companies, including Versace. They will be present to share their experience and provide valuable advice to students.
The conversation will be moderated by Maria Pia Maraghini, professor of the School of Economics and Management (SEM) of the University of Siena and Rector's delegate for Soft&Digital Skills. Thanks to her expertise in the field of soft skills, Professor Maraghini will lead the discussion in an informative and engaging way.
During the meeting, crucial topics such as effective communication, time management, teamwork, flexibility and adaptability to change will be addressed. These skills, often overlooked or underestimated, can make a difference in an individual's career and make them more competitive on the job market.
The importance of soft skills in the digital and globalized age cannot be underestimated. Companies are increasingly looking for people who can quickly adapt to new contexts, collaborate with different personalities and communicate clearly and effectively. Therefore, investing in improving your soft skills is essential to face the challenges of today's world of work.
The meeting “Career Toolbox: What Must Not Be Missing?” represents a unique opportunity for students to gain awareness of the importance of soft skills and learn from industry experts. Both Bernini and Basile have significant experiences in the world of work and can share valuable knowledge on how to develop these soft skills.
The University of Siena once again demonstrates its commitment to preparing students for the professional world, providing them with the tools necessary to succeed in their careers. Soft skills, combined with technical skills, are the key to comprehensive professional development and adapting to future changes.
