Ancona Jazz: concerts at the Roman Amphitheatre begin, inaugurated by Sergio Cammariere.

The first of three concerts of Ancona Jazz Summer Festival scheduled at the Roman Amphitheatre, saw Sergio Cammariere on stage.

In the Italian musical panorama Sergio Cammariere, a musician, composer and performer of rare and refined expressive intensity, stands out for his enormous expressive versatility, which has materialized since the early 90s in precious discographic works, which reflected echoes as diverse as jazz, Brazilian and Latin music in general, classical music, Italian singer-songwriters, but above all an intense compositional vein, which led the Calabrian singer and pianist to confront himself, in a completely successful manner, with soundtracks for cinema and theatre.

He participated three times in the Sanremo Festival, twice as a participant and once as a guest.

His innate talent, which is even more expressed in live concerts, led him to receive the Award as “Best Live of the Year” awarded by Assomusica.

Sergio Cammariere's concerts always turn out to be a wonderful adventure, changing in every situation, in which the artist creates on stage an extraordinary harmony with his musicians and musical "inventions" of great impact. In his twenty albums as a leader Sergio has always managed to marry poetry and lyricism with fascinating sounds, unusual rhythmic nuances, heterogeneous musical spaces, up to to the loneliness of 2017's "Piano", proof of extreme artistic maturity. From the height of such a rich career, Sergio exalts himself in concerts, interpreted as adventures in which the musician on stage, and also the audience, are involved in a seemingly endless creative process.
The composition of his regular quartet, made up of renowned jazz musicians, already reflects the nature of the music we will listen to, in which Giovanna Famulari's extraordinary cello will bring a further vein of emotional suggestions. A persuasive and fascinating show like few others, the right showcase for one of the most followed and loved musicians.

The next appointment at the Roman Amphitheatre it will be Friday 19 July with Rossana Casale and her quintet who will present her new work “Almost Blue”. This concert is dedicated to the friend Maurizio Fiorini, Rossana's partner and Sebastiano's father who gave so much to Jazz (and not only) and to the city of Ancona.

Shuttle buses are provided for the concerts - in a limited number - leaving in front of the Archi Parking lot in via Marconi from 20pm; 20pm and 30pm headed to the stop at the entrance to Piazza del Senato.

The only entrance to the Amphitheater is from the Piazza del Senato side where our staff will be present for all information.

Upon return, the shuttle will be active from the end of the shows from 23:15 to 00:15 starting from the entrance to Piazza del Senato with the race ending as at the start in front of the Archi car park.

Tickets for the concert are quickly selling out but are still available online and at points of sale Vivaticket in the area (in Ancona Casa Musicale in corso Stamira 68).
