A site alive and open to the city through numerous connections, which has taken advantage of its role as a great attractor, pouring the mass of presences into the territory".

The goal achieved this year rightfully puts the Valley of the Temples in the top ten of the most visited cultural sites in Italy. Looking at the ranking drawn up by the Ministry of Culture in 2022, the Agrigento site, at the top of the places in Southern Italy, should be placed in the middle of the ranking, after the Colosseum, the Uffizi Gallery and Pompeii, ahead of the Egyptian Museum of Turin, which last year And placed in sixth position, almost touching 900 thousand admissions.

The objective was missed in 2019, a year of great numbers for Italian tourism, with 954.980 thousand visitors, then canceled out by the pandemic in 2020 which recorded just 334.381 thousand visitors and finally a slight increase in 2021 with 445.925 thousand visits.
"We have worked in close synergy with the city. – says the director of the Park Roberto Sciarratta – It rewarded the great professionalism and availability of the entire staff, the attention to the public, the great exhibitions such as the one dedicated to the genius of Leonardo da Vinci. Let's not forget that the Valley was the first Italian site completely accessible also for disabled people."
