«An extraordinary opportunity – says the president of the Sicilian Region, Renato Schifani – not only for the promotion of Agrigento 2025, but for the whole Island. The artists that make up Il Volo, with the uniqueness of their voices, represent the great Italian singing tradition at a national and international level. They are three boys much loved by the public and very attached to Sicily and the territory of Agrigento in particular, also because one of them, Piero Barone, was born in Naro, right in the Agrigento area. We appreciated that, after Pompeii, Matera and Verona, these great artists chose our Region and a iconic place like the Valley of the Temples for their performances that will be broadcast worldwide bringing the best image of Sicily to a vast audience".
For the occasion, a terraced stage will be set up in front of the majestic Temple of Concordia. This will not only be a backdrop, but will also become a central scenic element, enhanced by a refined play of lights. On stage, in addition to the three singers, a choir and an orchestra will also perform, creating an immersive experience that will give new life and visibility to one of the most iconic places in Sicily.
