Vulcano, from 29 June to 2 July the first Street Arts Festival "Strad-Arte Vulcanara".
The island of Vulcano is ready to host “Strad-Arte Vulcanara” the first Festival of Street Arts scheduled from Thursday 29 June to Sunday 2 July.
In the four days of Street-Art Festival Cabaret performances, conferences on street art, workshops, shows, fire-music-jams and performances by young volcanoes from the aerial fabrics school are scheduled throughout the island. The Festival will end on Sunday 2 July with a show that will close the event.
The initiative is organized by The Forge of Hephaestus, Social Promotion Association created in 2022 for the defense and development of the territory, with the involvement of citizens who are using time, energy and passion to revive Vulcano, which is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Gianmaria Lenti, Vice President of the La Fucina di Efesto Association, declares: «With our activities we try to give Vulcano a renewed cultural, social, artistic and scientific scene, which, unfortunately, our island has been lacking for too long now. In particular, the Strad-Arte event will see the involvement of 25 artists of national and international caliber from different disciplines. From juggling to fire dancing, from traditional music to painting and craftsmanship, with the sole aim of enriching the cultural and artistic panorama of the island».
